WASHINGTON — Douglas Jensen, an Iowa man charged with leading a mob that chased US Capitol Police Officer Eugene Goodman on Jan. 6, is going back to jail after he was caught violating his release conditions by accessing the internet — specifically to stream election fraud conspiracy theory content.
US District Judge Timothy Kelly signaled that it was an easy call for him to return Jensen to federal custody. Shortly before announcing the decision at a hearing on Thursday, the judge said he had been explicit that Jensen could not go online and Jensen promptly disobeyed that. Kelly seemed especially troubled that a court officer caught Jensen in the act of violating his release conditions the very first time they made an unannounced visit at his house to check on his compliance. PROVIDENCE — In just 20 years, the total cost of the United States increasing homeland security and waging wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere since the Sept. 11 attacks has exceeded $8 trillion, according to new estimates by the Costs of War project at Brown University.
That figure includes the costs of veterans’ care through 2050, which is trillions higher than researchers previously estimated. Earlier estimates for the cost of all post-Sept. 11 wars had been about $6.4 trillion.

The walkout started when three students emerged from Legend High School in Parker and meandered toward a nearby park. Two more followed shortly after, and for a moment the small group was the only sign of protest.
Then came dozens, and within minutes, hundreds of students and parents had amassed across the street from the high school. They held signs calling masks child abuse, public health officials liars, and demanded masks remain optional.
“I can’t do this again,” said one boy’s poster.

The Scottish bureau responsible for the country’s 2022 census has said it will allow people to self-identify their sex in the decennial survey, but some are worried this “woke” development might compromise the data.
According to new guidelines published by the National Records of Scotland (NRS) on Tuesday, Scots can now choose their gender, regardless of official documentation and medical opinion, in the 2022 census. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) stealthily added a lengthy document outlining how to put people in camps to keep them safe from COVID-19 on its website, which went undiscovered when it was first created.
The CDC offers an operational procedure for “humanitarian settings” in which putting people in camps to prevent the spread of COVID-19 may be necessary, according to a document released last year titled “Interim Operational Considerations for Implementing the Shielding Approach to Prevent COVID-19 Infections in Humanitarian Settings.” The document appears to contain processes that are intended to be used outside of the US. At least 18 people have been reported dead after historic rains linked to Hurricane Ida flooded northeastern states on Wednesday night.
Eight people were confirmed dead in New York City, including a 2-year-old boy, a 48-year-old female and a 50-year-old man who were all found inside a home in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens as a result of the severe weather. In New Jersey, a 70-year-old man was reported dead and a 19-year-old man was found dead in Maryland. Pharmaceutical megacorporation pfizer is now developing a COVID pill that is meant to be taken alongside the COVID vaccines that have already made the company a staggering amount of money. The new pill is expected to be released by the end of the year and will be required to be taken twice per day.
