I have known this important information about not eating these grains, but man it is hard to give up a fresh baked cathead biscuit with real butter and pear preserves on it or fresh baked dinner rolls. I have been wanting to give up these and all grain based foods for some time now, it is a goal that I will achieve!
ps: cathead biscuit is just a big biscuit, in case you’re wondering. also a cathead biscuit with a slice of dear tenderloin on it, mm good way to start the day, but need to find a substitute for the biscuit, anyone got any good ideas?
There are lots of good gluten free products which are available that are very close to the wheat products not the same but close. You can also make your own from different types of flowers like Tapioca, Rice, Potato, mung bean and others. The GF market has grown tremendously in the past 10-15 years as I have been searching and making for family members and friends who are dealing with this specific allergy. Some of the pastas that are currently available made from brown rice are very good.
