Hospital Food – How it Can Kill You

We recently had the unfortunate experience of having a lady whom we know well, go to hospital for a heart operation. Since she survived the operation, we wanted to make sure the hospital food did not kill her.

We visited this lady for two weeks after the operation, bringing her healthy food every day, because hospital food is more than awful tasting – it’s toxic.  While I knew it was bad, until I saw what was fed to her each day, I had no idea how bad it was.  

This is a great system for the Medical Mafia – it not only helps to make people so weak they may need another operation later (open heart surgery costs around $250,000), but it also subconsciously teaches patients and visitors that the toxic food served in hospitals is good for you. After all, don’t doctors care about us?

First of all, they handed out Ensure drink ® to all patients on a regular basis. We quickly asked that no more Ensure drink be given to our lady friend. This is so appalling it should be illegal.

Wow! That sounds amazing! It’s “complete”. It’s supposedly good for muscle, heart, immune system and bone! That’s amazing!

Now, let’s dissect this. We will ignore the marketing and do what I tell you to do in my book You’re not Fat, You’re Toxic, which summarizes 43+ books and documentaries that are fully referenced, many by doctors, so I know that after researching and writing that book for two years, I know more about nutrition than most doctors (since they only study nutrition for 0-12 years in 5 years of training).

Doctors also don’t get up-to-date research on nutrition that would noticeably affect the $2 trillion a year income of the Medical Mafia – that’s five times the defense budget. I digress – back to what I tell you to do in the book – read the ingredients. That’s the only place where you will learn whether or not something is good for you.

First of all, the fact that Ensure ® is in a bottle is a problem. All processed food has been altered so that it will produce toxins such as radiolytic compounds, that are not found in nature. Rats given regular supermarket processed food got so chemically addicted to it that they acted as though it was a drug like heroine or cocaine, eventually being willing to put up with electric shocks to their feet just to get to it!

Here are the some of ingredients of the above bottle of Ensure ® (ours was Strawberry flavor), in order:

  • Corn Maltodextrin. Corn is now a GMO, unless it’s organic. It’s genetically modified. That means it contains bacterial and even viral DNA (as I tell you in the book). See this article for photos of stomachs that show a huge difference in color between a normal stomach and a stomach where the animal was fed GMOs.

  • Sugar. By now you should know that sugar is just plain bad, and a major cause of heart problems and diabetes. But now it’s GMO which is even worse. Sugar is just one of the 55 easy-to-read chapters in You’re Not Fat, You’re Toxic.

  • Canola Oil. This is rapeseed oil. It’s also now GMO. From You’re Not Fat, You’re Toxic, in the chapter on good fats and bad fats:

NEVER USE CANOLA OIL

Canola oil is a Pesticide and Industrial lubricant. Canola oil is rapeseed oil, which is a type of mustard seed. The name “Canola” was developed as a marketing ploy, and comes from the words “CANadian Oil Low Acid”. It’s so cheap that if the ingredients say “may contain canola”, you know that is what they used. Never use canola, even if it’s organic, because:

• Canola oil was originally developed as an industrial lubricant. It was not meant for humans to eat.

• It’s used as a pesticide. It is even more toxic than soy oil.

• According to AgriAlternatives, The Online Innovation, and Technology Magazine for Farmers, “By nature, these rapeseed oils, which have long been used to produce oils for industrial purposes, are… toxic to humans and other animals”.

• Rapeseed oil is strongly related to symptoms of emphysema, respiratory distress, anemia, constipation, irritability, and blindness in animals and humans. These symptoms may take ten or more years to show up.

• Rapeseed oil is also the source of the infamous chemical-warfare agent, mustard gas, which was banned after blistering the lungs and skin of hundreds of thousands of solders and civilians during World War One.

• Rapeseed oil has a tendency to inhibit proper metabolism of foods and prohibits normal enzyme function. “

  • Milk protein concentrate. Milk is now GMO because they feed toxic GMO alfalfa, corn and soy to cows. The GMO poison glyphosate has been found even in Danish cows, from imported GMO feeds.

In addition, two doctors, including a heart surgeon from the famous Cleveland Clinic (for hearts) show in the very good documentary Forks over Knives how animal protein causes heart problems, by killing endothelial cells. Endothelial cells line veins and arteries. (Forks over Knives is just one of the 43 books and documentaries that I summarize inYou’re not Fat, You’re Toxic). From the book:

ANIMAL PROTEIN DESTROYS ENDOTHELIAL CELLS, WHICH LINE YOUR BLOOD VESSELS

Dr. Esselsytn explains that endothelial cells are the cells that line the veins and arteries. Endothelial cells are only one cell thick. When we are young, if all these cells are spread out, they cover 6-8 tennis courts. But a diet based on animal protein is toxic to us, because it damages the endothelial cells. This is tragic because the endothelial cells are essential, because they make nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is essential to:

• Keep blood flowing smoothly.

• Dilate blood vessels during activity.

• Inhibit formation of plaque and inflammation.
When you kill endothelial cells from eating animal protein, the arteries harden. This is called plaque buildup or arteriosclerosis. … Unfortunately, older people on a western diet with animal protein tend to have reduced their 6-8 tennis courts’ amount.”

(Continuing with the ingredients of Ensure®):

  • Corn oil. More GMOs.

  • Soy protein isolate. Soy is GMO. Soy gets its own chapter in You’re not Fat, You’re Toxic, because it is extra toxic. Here is a snippet:

“Soy is carcinogenic. This is because processing of soy protein results in the formation of nitrosamines which are highly carcinogenic toxins. Food is not meant to cause cancer.

So can you think of a reason why it is highly subsidized by the government? (Hint….follow the $$$). A massive 70% of soybeans are paid for by the government! That is, by taxpayers!

In addition, many of the foods we eat have too much estrogen, or chemicals that act as if they are estrogen, called phytoestrogens. Estrogen is primarily a female hormone, although men have some in smaller quantities. Excess estrogen causes an increase in fat tissue.

Plus, the more fat you have, the more estrogen you make, which then makes you even fatter! This is making both men and women fat. Of all the foods we eat, by far the worst for causing excess estrogen is soy. (Ref: The Anti-estrogenic diet by Ori Hofmekler, 2007).

In addition, because estrogen causes breasts to grow larger, it could be why some men are now growing breasts.

Here’s a horrifying fact: Babies fed soy based formula have 13,000 – 22,000 times more estrogen compounds in their blood than babies fed milk-based formula. Infants fed only soy-based formula receive the equivalent amount of estrogen as 4 birth control pills a day!5 No wonder so many children are now obese. Children fed the perfect food for them, which is the milk of a mother who eats healthy food, will grow a natural slim body, just as wild animals do.”

  • Calcium beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate. (Hint: We were designed to eat plants, not chemicals).

  • ‘Natural’ and artificial flavors. More toxins. The word “natural” has zero legal meaning, and poisons such as mercury and arsenic are ‘natural’. As for artificial flavors- these are so new that it will take a while for people to realize how bad they are.

  • FD&C Red #3. The chemical name of these colors is so long they don’t fit on the bottle, so they shorten them to cute sounding names like “Red #3. From my book:

“Words like “Red 3” and “Yellow 2” might sound cute and safe, but these are not grown in a garden like real food. They are dangerous chemicals that are made in a lab with raw materials derived from petroleum8. For example, the real name for “Red40” is – 6-hydroxy-5-[(2-methoxy-5-methyl-4-sulfophenyl)azo]-2-naphthalenesulfonic acid9. Doesn’t sound quite as healthy as, for example, “organic beet juice”, does it?”

Besides the Ensure drink ®, we were horrified to see the hospital staff offering this lady diet drinks, with aspartame! Surely by now they know that aspartame breaks down into formaldehyde, for which there is no safe level? Of course they do! Read how this list of 92 symptoms reported to the FDA from aspartame, including death.

Other food included tea (caffeine puts the body into stress) and margarine (even cockroaches won’t eat margarine, and cockroaches will eat axle grease).

HEALTHY HOSPITAL MEALS

Each day we brought our lady friend an ice box with plastic containers containing healthy meals. Many nurses commented a lot on how our lady friend was eating super healthily. We brought food such as:

  • Fresh-squeezed vegetable & fruit juice in a thermos with a few ice cubes. Carrots, applies, organic beets (so they are non-GMO), kale, spinach, parsley, cilantro. This is a key to a super health program, because it provides all kinds of nutrients. Cooking destroys all enzymes, thousands of phytonutrients, many vitamins and minerals and half the protein. However, we had to go easy on the leafy greens because one nurse got frantic that if the patient had more than one salad a day, the Vitamin K would interfere with the Coumadin drug.

  • Salad with leafy greens. Home made dressing only, to avoid GMOs and chemicals. Sweeten with maple syrup. Add raw seeds for magnesium, which is more important than calcium, and harder to get.
  • Fruit salad.
  • Frozen blueberries.
  • Millet bread (Wheat is toxic since the Rockefeller’s altered it’s genetic structure in the 1940s to fuel their Cancer industry), organic salted butter (so it’s non-GMO), home-made nut butter made from raw almonds and sunflower seeds (be careful as raw almonds by law are now often ‘homogenized’ with carcinogenic chemicals).
  • Vegetable soups, homemade, in a thermos.
  • Steamed organic beets (so they are non-GMO).
  • Rye crackers with organic, salted butter.
  • Celtic sea salt (You need the right salt to live. This is another chapter in the book).
  • Homemade muesli with raw oatmeal (just a little), chopped pruned, dried mulberries, chopped almonds & walnuts. Plus a container of almond milk.

It’s time for everyone to wake up and realize that medicine is a system that is just a big business that cares only about profit, and also a religion.

You know that western medicine is a religion because the doctor is almost always present at birth and death (except in the few sane, brave cases where people choose to birth and die at home). The doctor says he “delivered the baby”. What rubbish! The mother delivered the baby, despite lying on her back instead of squatting, and despite the drugs which deadened her body. The doctor just caught the baby – and that job should be done by the father, as it is a spiritual event that can affect the baby for the rest of his/her life.

The doctor is the ‘high priest’ at the religion. That’s why so few question them. And that’s why they get flusterered when you do question them. Please learn how to look after your own body. Reading Youre not Fat, You’re Toxic is a good start. It will show you how to shop and prepare safe foods and other ways to improve your healthy diet and lifestyle, with chapters on sleep, exercise, and other essential information.
