The Daily Sheeple A replica of a US nuclear-powered air-craft carrier is being constructed on ”pontoons with steel construction to replicate hull, flight deck and superstructure”, the US Navy’s 5th Fleet has disclosed.
Why would Iran be building a mock US aircraft carrier? Is it for a propaganda piece or for something more sinister?
According to an article on USA Today, at least one member of Congress believes the replica does not bode well.
The senior Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee says Iran’s construction of a mock-up U.S. aircraft carrier demonstrates Iran’s continued lack of good faith.
“We don’t really know what it means, but I for sure don’t trust the Iranians,” Rep. Eliot Engel, D-N.Y., said Saturday. “It’s some kind of a ruse and whatever they are up to, it’s no good.” (source)

When I was aboard the shitty-kitty in the persian gulf we where on the look out for fishing boats that get close as they could fire a shoulder rocket into the hanger deck. Aircraft taken below deck drop fuel BUT the main bags in the fuselage must be full so as to not melt and stick to its self. This leaves a lot of fuel per jet. Enough to blow the deck and disable cat and trap systems.
It would take some practice though.
So we don’t know what or why but ‘whatever they are up to, it’s no good’.
