Las Vegas police captain reported missing found safe

Las Vegas Sun

Metro Police said one of their captains who had been reported missing earlier today has been found.

Capt. James LaRochelle had last been seen about 2 a.m. driving a tan Land Rover near Desert Foothills Drive and Charleston Boulevard, police said.

This afternoon, Metro reported him missing, asking the public’s help in locating him.

Police said about 8:30 p.m. that LaRochelle was found and was safe, without providing additional details.

LaRochelle is the commander with Metro’s Organizational Development Bureau.

Last month, he publicly introduced the Shotspotter pilot program to allow police to pinpoint the origin of gunshots with acoustic technology.

  1. Reminds me of aviation joke.

    pilot: Number 3 engine missing.
Mecanic: Engine found on right wing after brief search.

  2. Is Lombardo driving a bright shiny new personal car yet? He should resign from the stink of it just like all the other supposed ” good ones ” to only leave the bad ones exposed. Merry Christmas. Pray for Cody Snodgres. A conscience vs. family and pension.
