WINCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) – A federal lawsuit has been filed against Clark County Public Schools alleging a 12-year-old student was strip-searched at Robert D. Campbell Junior High School.
The lawsuit alleges the student was called to the counseling office and was asked to “strip down to her underwear” before being searched by counselor Becca Boyd and assistant principal Kris Creteau.
No word on why the student was searched.
The lawsuit says the search violated the student’s constitutional rights, and alleges that Boyd and Creteau are liable “under state law, for invasion of privacy, assault, negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.”
Clark County Schools has not issued any statement on the allegations at this time.
