Mystery solved! Box on Phoenix utility pole belongs to ATF

ABC 15 News

PHOENIX – The bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives came forward Thursday, admitting that a box spotted and removed from an SRP power pole on 21st and Glendale avenues belonged to them and was part of an ongoing investigation.

ATF officials would not elaborate on the investigation and would not say if they were conducting surveillance in the area.

“I don’t feel safer,” said Brian Clegg, who called ABC15 about the box on the power pole behind his house.

Clegg was suspicious there could be cameras installed in the boxes but ATF would not confirm that.

“I feel that my privacy has been violated,” said Clegg. “It’s right behind my house.”

There are homes, a high school, an apartment complex and a strip mall in the area. The strip mall has a salon, pet grooming store, alterations business, ammunition store and a barber shop.

“It makes me feel like they’re up to something grimy,” said Kevin Moreno who is a manager at the barber shop.

SRP tells ABC15 they had no idea the box was installed on their power pole. They said ATF has to notify them or work with them if they have an object on their property.

ATF tells ABC15 depending on the investigation and security they can put security measures in place without permission.

They say in this case they “acted within their bounds” but would not elaborate.

  1. Ammunition store

That pretty much sums up why it was there , at least that’s my assumption
It’s being watched , maybe because the ATF was planing some kind of bogus move on the place , a set up .. Or a false flag , any type of BS reason they could come up with or more like make up as they go
We are no longer free , especially outside your home , and even than , well you know

    1. What you say is true in the sense that the government no longer respects the Bill of Rights, and certainly not the privacy or dignity of the citizens. This isn’t the USA anymore except in name. The government is waging a cold war against the population.

However, in another sense, we’re still free as long as we don’t mentally submit. There’s always a way to defy the scumbag control freaks.

When people know they’re being watched, they can use deception to fool the watchers. This can be a very powerful tactic, though it will often require the cooperative efforts of two or more individuals. It’s something we all should keep in mind.

  2. In the picture at the link: I take it they’re referring to the gray box with the white “208” on it?

It’s kind of hard to tell from the photo, but I don’t see any camera lenses on it. Someone could get some good binoculars or a telescope to get a close-up view.

I’m leaning toward it being something like a Stingray.

Enormous credit goes to the watchful homeowner who inquired into this. This is the kind of thing we need to be vigilant about. He saw something and said something.

Curses on the feeble-minded cattle commenting on the news site who are okay with this. Their kind is almost as much to blame for the endless cycle of tyranny as the actual tyrants and their enforcers.

  3. “They said ATF has to notify them or work with them if they have an object on their property.”

    And they DIDN’T??? GASP!!!

“ATF tells ABC15 depending on the investigation and security they can put security measures in place without permission.”

That explains it. All in the name of ‘security’.

“I feel that my privacy has been violated,” said Clegg. “It’s right behind my house.”

And that’s what it takes for most sheeple before it finally ‘hits home’.
