Washington (AFP) – The US House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly Tuesday to toughen Washington’s position against China regarding its treatment of minority Uighurs, calling on President Donald Trump to apply sanctions against senior Chinese officials.

Israel’s defence ministry has issued an administrative order to set up a database of Palestinian and Arab activists and target their financial activities in Israel and abroad, Yisrael Hayom newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Naftali Bennett, Israel’s interim defence minister, described the order as “economic persecution” aimed at limiting activists from accessing assets and managing their finances. DAYTON — Police are looking for two males who dragged two Dayton police officers who tried to remove the suspects from a stolen vehicle just minutes after the same suspects tried to run over two other officers, Lt. Randy Beane said.

The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution demanding that Israel vacate the Golan Heights – Syrian territory it captured in 1967 and has occupied since – arguing its presence in the disputed region is an obstacle to peace.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – A U.S. appeals court on Tuesday handed President Donald Trump another defeat in his bid to keep his financial records secret, directing Deutsche Bank AG (DBKGn.DE) and Capital One Financial Corp (COF.N) to comply with subpoenas from congressional Democrats demanding the material.

A three-judge panel of the Manhattan-based 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 against Trump’s bid to block two House of Representatives committees from enforcing subpoenas issued in April to the two banks seeking the documents.
