A federal judge has ruled that police have the right to enter homes without a warrant as long as they claim to be conducting a “welfare check.”

Lieutenant Joseph Buccilli did not violate the Fourth Amendment when he forced his way into the home of Timothy, LuAnn and Joseph Batt without a warrant in 2012, U.S. District Judge Frank Geraci Jr ruled earlier this year. An Iranian-made drone was shot down by a US F-15 fighter jet in southern Syria, near At Tanf, the US-led coalition said. It is the fifth time in the past month the US has struck at forces allied with the Syrian government in the area.

An armed Shaheed-129 UAV “displayed hostile intent and advanced on Coalition forces” at 12:30 am local time on Tuesday, the coalition said in a statement. (Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced that the National Security Council (NSC) on May 23, 2017, informed it by letter that the materials regarding the unmasking by Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice of “the identities of any U.S. citizens associated with the Trump presidential campaign or transition team” have been removed to the Obama Library.

The weather forecast for the US city suggests temperatures could reach 120F (49C) on Tuesday.

The Chinese government has invited Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, President Trump’s daughter and son-in-law, to visit Beijing later this year, a U.S. official confirmed Tuesday morning.

China’s invitation is an apparent effort to cultivate closer ties to the Trump administration and is an indication of the young couple’s expanding role in foreign affairs on behalf of the president. When Hampton County sheriff’s deputies found $1.7 million stashed in secret compartments of a sport utility vehicle during a traffic stop on Interstate 95, the department confiscated the money and the SUV. The driver walked away with no criminal charges.

The driver “denied any knowledge of the money, and we had no way to connect it to him,” said Hampton County Chief Deputy William Jarrell. “He got a traffic ticket and we pointed him at the bus station.”

West Alabama authorities are investigating after a man in their care died after he was tased by police last week.

It happened after Northport Police responded to a wreck with injuries around 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the 4100 block of Fifth Street, near the Famers Market.

While officers were on the way, they were told that one of the drivers had walked away from the scene.
