TIMES SQUARE, Manhattan — Several demonstrators were arrested Saturday evening during the “Rise Up October” march denouncing police brutality.
Thousands marched from Washington Square Park to Bryant Park Saturday afternoon to call for change when it comes to police-involved deaths. According to the event’s website, the march is described as being “peaceful and determined.”
Around 6 p.m., photos and videos surfaced on social media showing unrest between police officers and protesters.

By Saturday evening, several people who were detained left the 7th precinct without being charged. Their friends were seen behind barricades waiting outside of the precinct.
Earlier in the day, the march remained peaceful with celebrities including Quentin Tarantino joined demonstrators at the rally.

Saturday’s march comes after protesters gathered by Rikers Island demanding the prison be shut down.
Police are expected to release a tally of how many arrests were made.
Tarantino protesting violence. Now I’ve heard everything.
I’m sure Tarantino was just in NYC scouting out locations for his next movie and accidentally got caught up in the crowd. He has that “why won’t these f@#ckin people get out of my f@#ckin way” look on his face.
He’s probably only there because he has a new movie coming out, and wants his name in the news for the free publicity.
I seriously doubt that he has any genuine interest in stopping police brutality.
I guess it’s nice that these people took to the streets, but I’m sorry to say that their actions will be ignored by our “government”, and will have no effect on police brutality whatsoever. It’s only possible benefit, whose importance is debatable, is to show other people that a movement exists. (it’s only possible effectiveness is as a recruitment tool, and that’s debatable due to the internet, which may be more effective and easier to employ)
These were effective methods of bringing about change 50 years ago, before the vote was rigged, and politicians actually worried about popular opinion.
Our modern tyrants don’t care one bit what the people think, but instead just see us as animals that need to be kept in their pens until it’s convenient to kill them off.
It’s a whole new ball game, and marching in the streets isn’t going to win it.
Tarantino is doing research for his next epic. A little publicity never hurts. Half of these clowns are seeking an autograph. The only thing “RISING UP IN OCTOBER ” is tarantino’s paycheck.
Pulp rise up October fiction.
Peaceful protest works only when those you are protesting are people of conscience. It wouldn’t have worked against Genghis Khan, Vlad the Impaler, or Stalin. So why would anyone think it would work against the pigs in America today?
The thought has occurred to me that those who take part in these protests might harbor masochistic tendencies.
Just think if all of the protestors had been armed and willing to fight. These Communist Cop Cowards would have backed off then but since this is Jew York city they know the crowd will be disarmed for the most part.

Lucky to still be alive.
“Rise up October” sounds more like an erectile dysfunction commercial than a movement, well, maybe a bowel “movement.” It was apparently important enough for the pigs to show up and display their “service to the community”. Thanks, but, no thanks.
Good one…stop it you’re killing me. Pulp fiction erectile dysfunction. 🙂
