Ron Paul Town Hall Gets Occupied

Protester: “We are the 99 percent. We will be heard. There are criminals on Wall Street who walk free. There are protesters in jail. There is something wrong with this system. We are the 99 percent. We will be heard.”

Ron Paul: “Do you feel better? If you listen carefully, I’m very much involved with the 99. I’ve been condemning that 1 percent because they’ve been ripping us off. The people on Wall Street got the bailouts and you guys got stuck with the bills and I think that’s where the problem is.”

  1. Excellent post. Any of the other candidates would have exited off the stage simply ignoring a group such as this rather than even acknowledge their existence. Likely they wouldn’t have even been allowed to occupy the same room. This brief little snippet truly represents the depth of an understanding that congressman Paul has of how crony government officials have decimated our lives for the benefit of their own. We are being offered an opportunity to elect someone of this quality who has arrived at a most critical time when fundamental changes to our system need to take place. It would be a shame to let this opportunity pass us by.
