School to fingerprint students to ‘monitor their diets’

STOURBRIDGE, England – A school is implementing a biometric system to better track what students are eating each day.

The Express & Star reports students at Redhill School in Stourbridge, England will be fingerprinted in an attempt to reduce lunch lines and “monitor pupils’ diets.”

The system requires pupils to press a finger against a machine which converts the print into biometric data.

This can then be used to identify individual pupils accounts.

Headteacher Stephen Dunster wrote to parents, “We are aiming to have a cashless system throughout the school. The catering system is better for parents because they don’t have to provide children with lunch money every morning. From our perspective it is far more efficient as it reduces waiting times.

“We will also be able to monitor what children are buying to make sure they are eating a healthy diet.”

Some American schools have attempted to implement palm scanners for similar purposes, but were met with parent anger or technological problems.

Washington’s Puyallup School District spent $38,695 on devices that would map the veins in a student’s palm, and then use that data as a school lunch account identifier.

District employees claimed “human error and fraud” necessitated the palm scanners.

“If the school district needs my signature in order to obtain my daughter’s photograph and use that photograph in publication because of a privacy issue, then I believe I should have to sign an authorization to use my child’s identity … for them to do that,” said parent Christina Allen, EAGnews reported.

“To hear those words vein recognition program… it’s very invasive to me,” she said.

The district ended up ending the program because of parent backlash.

“We failed at communication significantly on this,” said board president Chris Ihrig. “We got an ‘F’ on this one.”

Last year, a group of New York engineers announced the development of a “biometric classroom.”

According to developers at SensorStar Labs, cameras that track students’ eye movements, conversations and even smiles will supposedly help teachers improve classroom learning.

  1. I can’t say this enough. Get your kids out of the government funded indoctrination centers. Most come out not being able to tell the difference between there, their, and they’re. Nor can they even write their names. They can only print them. They can’t tell time without a digital clock, balance a checkbook, or count change. What are they teaching kids? Political correctness and how to bum off the government is all I see them learning now.

    1. I wish my daughter and her husband would yank their kids out of public school but they won’t. My grandson is in the 7th grade and cannot read the messages I send to him in greeting cards. He has to get his mother to read the messages. I told her that I will not print for him, it upsets me that students do not learn cursive in school anymore. My daughter agrees with me but while she is a homemaker, she doesn’t homeschool. I wish I could encourage and help her with homeschooling but they live too far for me to drive back and forth to their house everyday. So I guess my grandchildren will never learn to read, write cursive. 🙁

  2. This disturbing trend towards biometric measuring is more subtle indoctrination into the incorrect idea that we are mere material bodies, blood, guts, brains. And by omission, we are being taught that we are not spirit.

This is the biggest sin and lie of all — because if we “forget” who and what we are, we are robbed of our power, our essence. Eradication of our spirit through reliance on “science” is the same thing as annihilation of God. This is quite serious business and I’m mentioning it only because it is rarely mentioned in articles such as this.

Just as we are taught “the map is not the thing itself” this is also quite true of every attempt to map our biological, chemical and physical principles (the body). As though that is all there were to us.

  3. I think it’s more metadata, Funny Farmer. Partly to collect the data and track individuals from birth to death in every possible respect (and multiple uses), without our consent (or with our uninformed consent because of their deception), and partly to train children to be accustomed to having the privacy of their bodies and innermost thoughts violated. Violated by watching what they consume, through intrusive questionnaires about their drug use and sexuality (in high school), through groping at airports, through constant monitoring and judging, infringing on free speech through instilling fear of guns, fear of saying the politically incorrect thing (lest you be made an example of, in front of the rest of the class and, now, through social media, the world)…. it is demeaning and annihilates the individual. I am sure this is it.

Us: My big brother, what vast data collection systems you have…

They: The better to nefariously catalogue you for purposes of enslavement, my dear…

EDIT: I’m also going to add, in studies of psychopaths, what they lack in empathy, they attempt to compensate for by a close study of their prey — pattern analysis — to try to “peg” their prey. This is for purposes including manipulation and the sheer fun of the cat and mouse game that they get off on (power and control)

  4. When you guys go to grocery store, whether a large or small, do you ever look at what other people are buying? I do. At the convenience store its lottery tickets, candy, soda etc. Quite the same at the large chain grocery stores.
I eat healthy, but it is soooo expensive. But crap food is really cheap and has fun packaging. I dont need to tell you guys, our hypocritical government controlled system makes no sense. Trillions to the banks, subsidies to farmers who use GMO, but no money to keep healthy food at a reasonable price.
They dont care about what children eat, they simply want to indoctrinate and control them.

  5. If they start doing it in England, you can bet that they will start doing it in America in the not too distant future. What one does, so does the other.
