YREKA, Calif. — Hundreds will be marching up Sacramento’s capitol steps on Wednesday morning. It is just one step closer to statehood for the state of Jefferson.
The Jefferson Declaration Committee’s spokesperson, Mark Baird, said the 51st state is making its way on a map soon, and the committee is not stopping until it happens.
On Wednesday at 10, the state of Jefferson will submit 15 more declarations from counties that want to withdraw from California, and join Jefferson.
“It’s so exciting that the people of the north state will have the opportunity to gain representation, and it’s exciting to do a reboot, to start over, to form a state where people have rights again and where they have a say where they’re tax money is spent on,” Baird said.
Baird said the state plans on introducing legislation to split California and from the 51st state. If California ignores the people of Jefferson, they are going to sue the state for lack of representation and dilution to vote.

When other plows and pickups with cal-trans on the side trespass just seize the equipment and put the operators on a bus back to Sacramento with a bill for tow and storage of said plow. Charge them with ‘Operating With Fraudulent Permits’. Sew their bond in Jefferson Public Court. Failure to appear means surrendering assets and any future assets found within territory.
