It was immediately made clear that there was no hostage situation at the store, so why was everyone handcuffed and frisked? Oh, that’s right, conditioning.

Patrons of an Internet cafe in New Jersey were forced to press pause — then raise their hands in the air — after a SWAT team raided the establishment following a bogus hostage call, officials said.
Gamers at Digital Press Videogames in Clifton were the latest victims of a prank known as “swatting,” where a fake emergency is called into 911, prompting SWAT teams to descend. In past instances of swatting at Internet cafes and other locations, players have caught the raids on video.
Clifton police and the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team converged at about 7:15 p.m. after receiving an emergency call that people had been shot inside and were being held hostage.
Cops shut down Route 46 and surrounded the business and several other stores before closing in, scaring members of the North Atlantic Video Game Aficionados, which was holding a monthly event inside the store.
Clifton police were tracking down the person who called in the bogus report early Sunday, officials said.

ALLEGED bogus hostage call.
Gee…it reminds me of that time that the ROUND ROCK SWAT team raided my workplace (The Liquidation Channel) for no reason, other than receiving a bogus a phone call from someone that they said was in a warehouse claiming that someone had a gun. They never bothered to contact the security guard in the building or anyone else nor did they even listen to us when we were asking what the hell they were doing. We just watched through the windows while taking phone calls, as they blocked off the parking lot, put on their SWAT gear and marched in like soldiers with rifles.
Then after me yelling at them and telling them how unconstitutional it all was and asking for a warrant and saying it was a violation of the 4th Article while they were swarming around in the building (despite my supervisor telling me to shut up and continue taking calls, as absurd as that sounds), my department manager came into the room later and laughingly told us all that it was “a mistake” and that they had the wrong address. Half of us went home because we were still in a state of shock, while I stood there and yelled at my manager saying, “A MISTAKE? DO YOU REALLY THINK I WAS BORN YESTERDAY???!!!! THEY CAME IN WITH ASSAULT RIFLES POINTED AT US AND YOU SAY IT WAS ALL A MISTAKE???!!!” 😡
She didn’t like me saying that in front of everyone and I’m sure in any other circumstances, she would have fired me, but she let it go. Everyone else felt the same way as I did but were too afraid to say it.
Luckily, none of us were put in handcuffs or anything and were just told to go about our business while they raided the place.
Unfrigginbelievable………..
