Texas Judge Suspended After Officials Find Out She’s Not a US Citizen

Gateway Pundit – by Jim Hoft

A Texas judge was recently placed on unpaid leave after it was discovered she was not a US citizen.

Judge Young Min Burkett has 90 days to become a citizen.
She may keep her job after lying about her citizenship for years.

How many times did she lie on an application to become a judge in the state of Texas? And she gets to keep her job?

Her rulings will stand.

You can’t make this stuff up.
Waco Trib reported:

Officials in South Texas have placed a municipal court judge on unpaid leave after it was discovered she’s not a U.S. citizen.

Corpus Christi Mayor Pro-Tem Lucy Rubio told the Corpus Christi Caller-Times that Judge Young Min Burkett was placed on leave for 90 days with the intention that will be enough time for her to obtain citizenship.

Rubio says the city never asked during the qualification process to become a municipal judge whether Burkett was a citizen, and says Burkett never tried to deceive or misrepresent her background.

  1. Wow, good find…

“Treason is the reason for moose season” Mark Koernke.

No way this happened by mistake, seems they got caught, what is this woman’s nationality?

      1. Good find, thank you, I thought Judges were appointed in some fashion, I didn’t think it was like applying at McDonald’s, at least McDonald’s would have checked Burkett’s citizenship status via Homeland Security, strange indeed.
Seems there are plenty of Americans that could use a job, I wonder who this broad is related to and whats going on behind the scenes.

  2. “How many times did she lie on an application to become a judge in the state of Texas?”

    Apparently none…

“Rubio says the city never asked during the qualification process to become a municipal judge whether Burkett was a citizen, and says Burkett never tried to deceive or misrepresent her background.”

However, I am SURE that there is an oath that every judge has to swear to that I am sure says at the very least says they will uphold the law of at least that municipality. Obviously since she was suspended when it was discovered she is not a citizen, there must be something in that municipality that says she can’t serve and I am certain she was aware of that policy…yet she violated the oath and took office anyway.

Someone get a rope for this slope…

  3. “She may keep her job after lying about her citizenship for years.”

So… she’s a felonious illegal to begin with. Ergo, the job is still hers.

She’s in like company (on ‘the bench’)… they’re ALL felons.

    Ropes required.
