This happened to me on 1/28/2015 as I left my parking garage to head home from work. I had just turned my helmet camera on (Contour ROAM) which is the starting point of this video. Cager clearly blows his red light and hits me in the intersection. My heavily customized 2011 Daytona 675 is destroyed in an instant but I manage to land on my feet. ATGAT saved me from severe injuries as I walked away with only bumps and bruises.
never be in a hurry to pull away from a green light , especially on a bike.
37 years on 2 wheels and no accidents
sometimes counting til 3 can save your life..,, no matter whos at fault ,, its the biker that FEELS it ,, not the cage driver
great save Paul.. not knockin your skills bud ,, not one bit.. them dam 4 wheelers will getcha every dam time
Hey Enemy of the State, that wasn’t me, thank God. When on a 2 wheeler I don’t trust anybody. If things even look stupid, I stay out of the way. There are a lot of idiots out there who think their the only ones on the road. I always watch the side streets, and if I see there wheels start to turn, I slow down or pull to the side if necessary. That practice alone has saved me several times. I always try to travel low traffic streets as well. If traffic gets stacked up behind me, I will pull over and let them go by. Being in a hurry on a 2 wheeler can get you killed. Besides at 71, my reaction time isn’t as fast as it used to be.
Ride safe brother. 😎
roger that on the “wheels turning” i always look for that too
I hated those dam “spinner hub caps ” for that very reason
Glad it wasnt you boss, i mis-understood
You ride safe too brother 🙂
now i’m wanting to ride. ice and snow here. 🙁 bummer.
I hear ya, my custom Softail is patiently waiting , Im not going to be going anywhere on 2 wheels in 20″ of this shit
