Police locked down the US Capitol complex on Monday amid reports of shots fired, officials said.
Roads near the visitor center were shut down, and nobody was being allowed to enter of exit the buildings, officials said.
“If you are outside, seek cover,” the alert said.
Shelter in place order just went over PA systems in the Capitol. A lot of police activity near visitor center. Roads closed.

Initially there were reports of a police officer being shot, but NBC News has since confirmed that was not the case.

You beat me to it, Paul. They are reporting that the shooter is in custody and that one cop was shot, but the wound is not serious. Having a hard time finding a detailed report that doesn’t have an iron-clad copyright.
This should happen EVERY DAY! Twice on thursdays.
“Shelter in place order…”
Becoming commonplace occurrences these days.
Tick, tock…
Damn shame the pig survived.
