Video shows 123 migrants surrendering to Border Patrol agents in Arizona

AZ Central – by Dani Coble

U.S. Border Patrol cameras captured images of 123 undocumented migrants surrendering to agents after they crossed the border near Yuma on Friday, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol said Wednesday.

The group of migrants surrendered to agents after crossing vehicle barriers, the agency said in a post on its Arizona Twitter account Wednesday.

Further details were not immediately available.

Border Patrol agents have apprehended an average of 100 to 200 Central American migrants per day at the U.S.-Mexico border, the agency said in the tweet.

On Jan. 24, agents at the Ajo Station in Arizona found 242 Central American migrants in the desert west of Lukeville, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said.

That group crawled “over and under the crude vehicle barrier separating the United States from Mexico,” the agency said. The group included 130 juveniles, with 11 of them unaccompanied by a legal guardian, the agency said.

On Jan. 21, a group of 118 migrants, mostly from Guatemala, surrendered to agents in Yuma after they crossed over the border wall using a ladder, officials said.

Video footage from Border Patrol cameras shows a suspected smuggler helping the group scale the wall and drop into the United States about three miles east of the San Luis commercial border crossing in Arizona.

On Jan. 14, 376 migrants, the largest single group to date, crossed near Yuma and voluntarily turned themselves in after tunneling their way across, about four miles east of the San Luis commercial port of entry, officials said.

According to the agency, that group was made up of primarily Guatemalan families with children seeking asylum. With the help of suspected smugglers, they dug seven holes in the sandy soil underneath a bollard-style fence and the metal plates welded to the bottom of the barriers.

The group contained 176 minors, 30 of them unaccompanied, CBP said.

  1. And will they send these illegals back across the border? NOPE! They’ll just drop them off at a nearby city 25-30 miles away because that’s closer and cheaper than spending a dollar or two of gas to drive them less than 4 miles across the border.

    Unfrigginbelievable….

    DO YOUR F**KING JOB, ASSHOLES!!
