With the ongoing efforts to take away the rights of American Citizens to own certain firearms to defend themselves and their family from harm, We the American people propose that anyone in a political position have an unarmed security detail. This will include any and all firearms that may cause harm to any citizen of the United States.
This proposal will make all American Citizens feel that we are all equal in life, and that not just political personnel have the right to security that are armed with some of the same weapons that are being attempted to be taken away from the average American Citizen.

Nice gesture, but it’s not going to accomplish anything but giving the enemy more names and addresses of dissidents.
I’d rather see them try to take the weapons, because we need a sweeping overhaul of this “government” rather than making political statements that no one listens to.
Propose, eh? So We the People are supposed to “marry” these psychos? “I now pronounce you husband and wife”? Jolly’s idea is much more effective…. And, of course, they won’t take the weapons (some, of course, will give them up willingly…cowards.)
Yeah, the word “propose” should be replaced with “demand,” not that that would have any teeth either. Yet I did like seeing this in print. An idea that’s been on many minds for a long, long time. The whole, “You don’t need protection, but I do” thing, brought to its knees. This “proposal” should also include celebrities.
