Won’t Get Fooled Again

We’ll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgment of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
And I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
Don’t get fooled again

Change it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fall that’s all
But the world looks just the same
And history ain’t changed
‘Cause the banners, they all flown in the last war

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
And I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
Don’t get fooled again
No, no!

I’ll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I’ll get all my papers and smile at the sky
For I know that the hypnotized never lie

Do ya?

There’s nothing in the street
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Is now the parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
Don’t get fooled again
No, no!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

  1. Great song, and very appropriate.
    Nice pick, Angel.

On a slightly unrelated topic, I’ve been thinking that this FCC takeover of the internet might be what gets things started.

If I can’t tune in to websites like this, and I can’t get Liberty Tree Radio shows, I’ll have no way of knowing that things are still calm, and I’ll have to assume the worst. My internet-based info sources are what tells me that normalcy still prevails, and I’m sure the same is true for millions of others.

Do they expect us to forget what’s going on in the world just because we can no longer read about it, or is it only sensible to assume that the struggle has advanced to the next level?

The way I see it, they’re only cutting communications in preparation for an attack that we all knew was eventually coming, so if I can’t access info that proves to me an attack hasn’t started, I’ll have to assume that it has.

To assume anything else would be foolish. They can’t change direction if they wanted to. If normal communications are down, and present sources of info are compromised, it’s only sensible to assume the worst, and act accordingly. The entire world depends on us to secure humanity’s future.

We can’t F*&k this up by letting our guard down.
