Another American military invasion in the Middle East and hey 99ers, money is no object. This as our so called representatives are taking a week vacation from the daunting task of cutting every social program and refusing an unemployment extension because it is unfunded.
Why are not these holier than thou crusaders acting on their mandate to the people in coming out in mass opposition to this unfunded, unprovoked, and unjust third invasion of a sovereign country in the Middle East? I’ll tell you why. Because this new war is going to put more money into the pockets of those our so called representatives serve. And that is not we the people.
All of these things are going on in plain view as the 99ers and the rest of the United States working population are standing by staring through glazed over eyes, like a group of Jews waiting to be loaded on a cattle car.
If the people of the United States do not snap out of their trance and take immediate decisive action to put a stop to the insane actions being perpetrated by the war pigs in our government, we are going to find ourselves being crushed by an international force that will be as completely justified in their actions of destroying us as the allied forces were in destroying Nazi Germany.
My God, people, look what is being done in our names. We just keep invading one sovereign nation after another, like this is what our country is supposed to be doing under our Constitution. And we the people are going to be held responsible for what we allow our so called representatives to do throughout the world. We are on a fast track to total destruction followed by famine and death on a scale that none of us could possibly imagine in our worst nightmare.
We 99ers, though now living under deplorable circumstances, have at least been blessed in that we have been forced to see the rot that is eating away at what was once the most desirable and sought after form of government to ever exist on this planet.
I believe we have reached the point of no return. Either we remove these maniacal maniacs from power and replace them with a Constitutional government derived from the working class of our people, or we are doomed. We will go down in history as despised as our Nazi counterparts of old. We have to see the reality that we are living under a totalitarian military dictatorship.
Everyone knows that the American people do not want another money-eating, murderous war in the Middle East. But those holding our highest seats of power are flipping us the bird and telling us that what we want or think does not matter anymore.
It is time. If we ever want to see our great Republic reestablish under our Constitution we must commit ourselves to a total revolution to that end.
99ers we need to organize faster and better and to do so we must use propaganda techniques. Everyone of you reading this article, for one week, all day long, go on twitter and tweet the following spot messages, “Save the 99ers”, “99ers are the Long Term Unemployed”, “The 99ers were not covered under the Unemployment Extension”, and “The 99ers are raising an army to take the country back for the people” to every Twitter account that you think will get the most views, like Charlie Sheen’s and Lindsay Lohan’s. Put up signs and banners with 99er messages. Write 99er on your hands. We must let the world know who we 99ers are. Do this and do it now or do not count yourself among the patriots.

The problem is enough people do not know who the 99ers are. In having these flash messages pop up all over the place, people are naturally going to ask, “Who are these 99ers?” , after which, this being the 21st century, they will go to their computers to find out. Once there is enough public awareness our support will increase exponentially. You do realize that there are 99ers out there who still do not know what a 99er is. This is a worthwhile pursuit, if we do not make the mistake of over thinking it.
I guess what I think is that what happened in Japan is terrible and we should be helping them but the Government isn’t doing anything to help the American’s that are losing there lives just not as violent. We can help every Country but our own people and that is terrible.

I am a college grad and have been unable to find gainful employment for over 2 yrs…….working partime at 11 per hr I ve been selling off assets and spending monies designated for my retirement just to survive………the other day i applied for a 10 per hr job from a 3 LINE ad in a local paper and 125 applicants showed up…..with odds like this, the employers,staffers and recruiters are in the catbird seat,with internet contacts even harder to obtain responses….let alone an interview………the thing that made this country great,THE MIDDLE CLASS…..IS CRUMBLING RIGHT NOW. This whole situation may very well develop into a shooting war, so having organized prior to that day would seem to be an advantage. As for who cares about us, it is only we and a handful of outside supporters who know who we are. But make no mistake, working Americans across this country can plainly see what is coming down the pike and few, if any, approve to the slightest degree.

I am not mad at you in any way, but the actions in Libya are being perpetrated for one reason only, and that is oil. We are breaking international law in invading a foreign sovereign country without provocation. People are going to die in a civil war, who are we here in America to decide who will die and who will take over foreign governments?
Obama violated the Constitution in going into Libya. The only way a president can take a direct military action is if there is an eminent danger to the United States. I’m sorry, but 93 dead in Libya is not a national emergency in the United States.
Not to mention the million Iraqis murdered in the name of we the people. I guess the bottom line is I will accept no excuse for a violation of our Constitution as it sets precedence. And be aware as the group the U.S. is backing in Libya is Shiite Muslims. And remember this, Gaddafi is a blood enemy to the Taliban, so I guess in the end result we are in Libya, taking out an enemy of the Taliban.

My mom and I were talking about how the 99ers have been forgotten and how there is money to help us just as there is money to save the world. She told me about a guy she used to know, he was from Vietnam. When he came here after the Vietnam war he received $7000 a month until his kids became adults. He sent all of his kids to medical school and now they are doctors. If the government does things like that for other people and they do nothing for us they really don’t put any value on us whatsover.

I recieved this back from a senate person that voted against..Oregon SB 638..They think the 99ers are a small group..Can somebody send him some numbers of how many of us 99ers there are thanks..Sir or Madam,
Senator George voted no on SB638 because it would raise employment taxes on businesses in Oregon. The sum total of the new increase in taxes was more than all the new taxes contained in Measure 67. This is not the right step to take if we are trying to get businesses to hire new employees in the State of Oregon.
Senator George voted today against new taxes, and not against average Oregonians. Placing greater tax burdens on Oregon businesses will not lead to long term stability, nor will it translate into a single new job. His vote was made with the best interests of out-of-work Oregonians and represented a difficult, yet principled stand on sound economic policy. His goal is to foster a business climate that leads to real economic recovery, not simply to temporarily extend benefits to a small group of unemployed Oregonians.
Regarding your comment to find a replacement for Senator George; I highly urge you to exercise your Constitutionally protected right to vote and support his opponent next election cycle.

I am a 99er from Rhode Island and feel that the only way, we the 99ers will be heard is if they change the way they count the unemployment rate altogether. The rate is not counted by how many people are unemployed, Its counted as how many people are collecting benifits. Once they count us they will include us. On another not I just filed my tax return and barely got anything back because they changed the tax form form unemployed people from 2010 $2500 tax credit to unemployed to 2011 no tax credit for the unemployed,Looks like are tax credit went to the rich. Feedback welcome!!!
Here’s an idea ! How about the 99ers union seek minimal donations from all of us unemployed… even if its a dollar each to make our own TV commercial and have it broadcast… I’m sure we would get sponsors to donate as well…. there are folks out there with heart…

Look the time to strike as americans may be upon us, we should treat this like the unions do and strike (not pay taxes) untill washington fixes the issues we care about and creates jobs, it may hurt in the short term but the only way anything is gonna get done is if we hit em where it hurts…voting them out is the other option, a government shut down is sounding more like an option also…radical action must be taken against these people who are trying to destroy this country, the G.O.P is a dead party as far as im concerned and has no future …the dem’s need to get it together and yesterday if they hope to maintain office in washington, im just sick and tired of the b/s.
I am 60 years old and have been seeking employment for over 2 1/2 years. everyday I do my job search submitting myriads of resumes. I can get interviews galore but then it’s always the same. We appreciate your capabillities but have decided to pursue alternate paths. bottom line is they have picked someone younger for the position. being the old guy makes it ever so much tougher to find the company willing to hire you. If it weren’t for friends I would be out on the street homeless and destitute by now! but that’s ok the gov’t has my back
This is not a party problem its a President / Congress Party. You see while the government is still trying to figure out how to pay for itself the President is off playing around. Nobody to force the hands of congress to get any work done. No real leader in either house to speak of and this should cry for Americans to respond and speak out. But 80% of most Americans live inside their own little world, afraid to tip / Rock the boat. No Media outlet coverage that would dare continually speak about the unemployed, why? “It’s Old News”. Employers turn their backs even if you say you’ve only been out of work for two weeks and gets worse from there. Plus for our older 99ers its gets even worse with young adults graduating high school. 111th congress last Bill gave employers tax benefits without stipulations. One that would have worked, would have been applied only if employers who are willing to hire new employees. 112th Congress in three months has not created one Jobs Bill or anything to get the economy going. Instead their first priority was the kill the Obama healthcare Bill. Since then anything concerning unemployment gets put further back, while both sides continue that work on policies /bills that has forced employers to start making cut backs. (Did I just say cut backs)? Yes I did, which only adds to the unemployed that nobody wants to talk about. Friend of mine making 50 to 60 grand a years laughed and said he would never lose his job just found out the harsh reality and now working on his saving to live.

This idea should work. It will take some motivation, effort and support from the public though. Everyone nation wide organize protesters by state and counties to protest/march to your local downtown government or political office the public majority has agreed on. Then pick a day nation wide all citizens will march/meet like Jan1, 2012, or something to show we are taking back our country for the New Year. For citizens without cars or money or if you’d rather support public transportation… Organize gently with public transportation workers and operators working all railways, buses, and air transportation to look the other way to allow all USMOA citizen volunteers a free/commandeered transport to and from rally points for the day to support the take back of the U.S.A by the people to save us all. Basically the USMOA citizens all at once on a day must commandeer all public transportation lines to support our cause as a federal emergency act to restore order in our government to save lives.

I was in contact with two of my fellow workers that were laid off the same time as my self. We were also friends. They both have taken jobs making less pay. The last time i spoke to them, they wanted to know when I was going to get off my lazy ass and go to work. They are now part of the working class that hate us. There is no help for us, I have been coming to web sites like this for over a year, and I still don’t have a job. Bitter 60 yr old , 99er in toledo ,oh.
Could the biggest reason the unemployment rate is dropping is due to the loss of unemployment compensation now that many people who were layed off during the fall of 2008 are now out of tiers? You notice how the more industrialized parts of the country seem to be lowering their unemployment rate almost at the exact time the first wave of layoffs are no longer eligible for unemployment and these areas were hit first. I say this because they say unemployment is dropping fast in my state but there doesn’t seem to be many jobs except temp service jobs, part time and low unlivable wage jobs. I can’t survive off 9 or 10 dollars an hour anymore too much debt due to student loan and credit card and when I say 9 or 10 that’s if you’re lucky. They are still outsourcing jobs overseas and it seems like not only the rich didn’t seem to suffer from this recession, but actually are doing a whole hell of a lot better than before the recession THEY caused. Every and any member of congress, the senate or the president himself should have to answer for all the help they continue to give to our corporate slave masters. Homelessness, crime, poverty, debt, suicides, drug use, prisoner populations, unemployment, underemployment, and cases of depression are skyrocketing all while the wealthy continue to prosper like no class of rich scumbags has prospered before. How about a 2 million dollar PER JOB federal tax penalty to all companies who love outsourcing jobs to child laborers. The upper class is truly evil. Make no mistake about it. They still won’t be satisfied once the middle class disappears.

You are absolutely correct. When you are no longer drawing unemployment you are no longer counted as unemployed. You are reclassified as someone who decided they did not want to work anymore and are content with living in squalor. Face it; this is what we have worked for for the last thirty years.
You see they get rid of a big chunk of jobs in the private sector after which tax revenues fell. This is why the states are going bankrupt right now and they are trying to steal public worker’s pensions to make up the shortfall. The filthy rich gained a lot more wealth when they got rid of our jobs and they absolutely do not want to pay anymore taxes on that additional revenue. In fact they want further tax cuts to protect the monies they are going to gain when they lay a few million more of us off this year.
Rest assured they are lying about the numbers because if they had to count all those who are really unemployed the true number would be about 22%. People are rioting overseas over 22% unemployment. I guess their governments aren’t as versed at the art of fuzzy math as ours is.
