Americans using public transportation have been surveilled at least 10.8 billion times!

According to the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Americans took 10.8 billion trips on public transportation in 2014…

“In 2014, people took a record 10.8 billion trips on public transportation — the highest annual ridership number in 58 years,” said Phillip Washington, APTA Chair and CEO & General Manager of the Regional Transportation District in Denver.”

What you’re not being told is police have installed surveillance cameras and microphones at train platforms, bus stations, on trains and on buses.

New York’s, MTA claims they’ve installed surveillance cameras to protect riders against sexual attacks!

“The Metropolitan Transportation Authority also will create a new feature on its website to make it easier for victims and witnesses of sex crimes in the subway system to make a report.”

Between 2001 and 2011, there were fewer than three rapes reported each year on average in New York’s transit system. New York buses are also equipped with cameras that spy on ANYONE driving in a bus lane.

So, if crime is so low in NY who’s really behind installing surveillance cameras everywhere?

In Nassau Couny NY transit buses will have a total of TEN video cameras mounted inside and outside the buses!

Massachusetts trains and buses are using Genetec surveillance cameras to spy on commuters.

“The new security systems are designed to enhance safety for both customers and employees,” said MBTA Spokesman Joe Pesaturo.

The government wants the public to believe spying on EVERYONE is for our safety!

“The decisions [were] based on a cost [and] benefit analysis of the future life spans of current fleets…to maximize the benefit of this [DHS] investment,” said Pesaturo.

There’s your answer… surveillance cameras are being used by DHS to spy on commuters 10.8 billion times annually.
