CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Novant Health announced Tuesday that approximately 375 employees are suspended for violating the company’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
Novant said suspended employees will have five days to comply with the vaccination policy or be terminated. Novant announced that 98.6% of its team, made up of more than 35,000 employees are compliant with the mandate. This means those workers have received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the first dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, or if given, a medical or religious exemption.

The Italian government recently announced a mandatory vaccine passport for both the public and private sectors and announced that workers that cannot show a vaccine passport will have their pay withheld.
The government decree will force about 23 million Italian workers to get a “Green Pass,” a COVID-19 vaccine certificate issued to those that have been vaccinated, recovered from the virus, or have a recent negative test. An update from the Pacific Northwest Team 2 said over 2.5 inches of rain has fallen across the fire areas in the past few days. While it is significant, it does not extinguish the fires. After the earlier Biden-mandated vaccine requirement for federal workers and all armed forces branches, and with the city of D.C. itself now issuing a vaccine mandate for public school student athletes and child care center staffers, a big segment of the US public is questioning: where will it end? UNITED NATIONS, Sept 15 (Reuters) – U.N. chief Antonio Guterres stressed on Wednesday that he cannot ask world leaders to show they have been vaccinated against COVID-19, after New York City officials said proof should be required for anyone entering the U.N. General Assembly Hall.
Dozens of heads of state and government and foreign ministers – accompanied by countless diplomats – are due to be in New York next week for an annual high-level gathering at the United Nations.
