A police helicopter and two patrol cars were dispatched in response to Jordan McManus of Phoenix, Arizona photographing a federal courthouse while open carrying a .45 caliber pistol, as seen in a video uploaded on August 6, 2013.

It’s quite surprising that, as McManus wrote, “Nothing dramatic ever really happened,” especially given the some officers’ response to being filmed, as I thoroughly outlined in a recent article.   Continue reading “Helicopter, cruisers dispatched in response to man open carrying, taking pictures of federal courthouse”

Every now and then I like to look at government numbers and see what they really mean. I ran into this batch several months ago but hadn’t had time to play with them till now. What I found shocked me so badly that I ran them three times on a calculator and once using exponents. As you’ll see below, these are “Oh my God” numbers.

Here are facts:   Continue reading “Why are your Children Buying Houses for Ben Bernanke?”

Beyond the Mainstream – by orwellwasright

It is perceived wisdom throughout the Western world – particularly America – that the dropping of two nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was “necessary” to end the war with Japan. Printed throughout textbooks in the post-war world, the understanding is that, had these targets not been struck, the war would have waged on indefinitely, with potentially untold American soldier and Japanese civilian deaths.

As the world commemorates the 68th anniversary of the attacks, however, it is important to take a step back and view the catastrophic event not through the prism of propaganda and mythologizing, but instead through the lens of historical scrutiny. For, as if often the case, the disparity between “Official History” and reality is characterized by lies and deceptions bolstered by patriotism and American exceptionalism.   Continue reading “Hiroshima, Nagasaki and the Big Historical Lie”

CENTREVILLE, Va. — A race to define Obamacare to the masses began today between the stacks at the Centreville Library. Over pizza in Decatur, Texas. And with a glass of wine in Naples, Fla.

Dozens of communities around the country hosted pro-Obamacare events, convened by the president’s foot soldiers at Organizing for Action. The series is the first salvo in what is fixing to be a month of high-stakes health care spin. When Congress returns from its summer recess in early September, there will be less than a month until Obamacare’s most sweeping coverage programs start signing up customers in new health insurance exchanges.   Continue reading “Only 1 Person Showed up for Pro-Obamacare Event in Virginia”

A slide from a presentation about a secretive information-sharing program run by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration s Special Operations Division (SOD) advises law-enforcement officials to disguise how they have gathered information for criminal cases by recreating the investigative trail through use of a practice called parallel construction. Some defense lawyers and former prosecutors say the practice could violate a defendant s constitutional right to a fair trial by burying evidence that could prove exculpatory. A secretive U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration unit is funneling information from intelligence intercepts, wiretaps, informants and a massive database of telephone records to authorities across the nation to help them launch criminal investigations of Americans.

Although these cases rarely involve national security issues, documents reviewed by Reuters show that law enforcement agents have been directed to conceal how such investigations truly begin – not only from defense lawyers but also sometimes from prosecutors and judges.   Continue reading “U.S. directs agents to cover up program used to investigate Americans”

In another case of ‘conspiracy’ confirmed as reality, US regulators are now revealing various documents and call logs detailing initiatives by the world’s mega banks to rig interest rates in order to rake in millions at the expense of legitimate businesses and pension funds.

And once again, the media is acting as if this revelation is truly inconceivable and unexpected. As it turns out, however, reports now confirm what we have known for decades: that the mega banks are in fact gutting the economy in order to squeeze as many greenbacks as possible from the last breathe of our financial infrastructure. It’s essential to remember that, as Bloomberg revealed in an attempt to obtain alternative news readers and latch on to some form of credibility, these mega banks are already receiving $83 billion from taxpayers each year.   Continue reading “Regulators Confirm The Mega Banks ARE Robbing Your Pension Funds”

James "Whitey" BulgerUSA Today – by Brad Heath

WASHINGTON — The FBI gave its informants permission to break the law at least 5,658 times in a single year, according to newly disclosed documents that show just how often the nation’s top law enforcement agency enlists criminals to help it battle crime.

The U.S. Justice Department ordered the FBI to begin tracking crimes by its informants more than a decade ago, after the agency admitted that its agents had allowed Boston mobster James “Whitey” Bulger to operate a brutal crime ring in exchange for information about the Mafia. The FBI submits that tally to top Justice Department officials each year, but has never before made it public.   Continue reading “FBI allowed informants to commit 5,600 crimes”

The United States Court of Appeals for the third circuit will be holding a full-hearing on an important case challenging gun laws in New Jersey; specifically the court will hear a case challenging the NJ gun law that requires Americans provide “justifiable-need” to government to own a handgun.

A three judge panel in the US Court of Appeals for the third circuit affirmed a prior court decision ruling by a 2-1 vote in favor of the NJ gun law requiring residents give justifiable-need to own a gun. The defendants have appealed and will proceed to a US Court of Appeals full-hearing, which could then head to the supreme court.   Continue reading “US Court of Appeals Affirms NJ Gun Law Requiring Gun Owners Provide Justifiable Need to Own a Gun, Full-hearing Next”
