Since the coronavirus hit, sales of marijuana have gone through the roof in both the United States and Canada. Between March 16 and 22, sales of recreational cannabis rose by 50 percent across states including California, Colorado and Oregon, while medical marijuana sales jumped 41 percent from the same period a year ago. March 23 (Reuters) – Former organizers for Michael Bloomberg’s unsuccessful presidential bid sued the billionaire’s campaign on Monday, saying he laid them off amid the global coronavirus pandemic after promising pay and benefits through the November election.
Employees resigned from good jobs to take positions with Bloomberg’s campaign, and they now face unemployment and the loss of their health insurance in the midst of the spreading virus, field organizers Alexis Sklair, Sterling Rettke and Nathaniel Brown said in their complaint, one of two proposed class action lawsuits potentially representing thousands of workers. While the world is grappling with the COVID-19 crisis, including right here in the tri-state area, local authorities in New Jersey are warning of extremist groups using the Internet to exploit coronavirus fears and inspire supporters.
The New Jersey Department of Homeland Security and Preparedness issued an analysis that warns that extremists tend to latch onto fears and manipulate crisis to validate their ideologies and incite potential attackers. Gov. Edwards issued the order Mar. 22, after showing Louisiana’s statistics of the coronavirus spread.

Brain training is big business, with companies like BrainHQ, Lumosity, and Cogmed. But does what they offer actually benefit your brain?
Researchers don’t believe so. In fact, the University of Illinois determined that there’s little or no evidence that these games improve anything more than the specific tasks being trained. President Donald Trump on Sunday announced he would activate the federal National Guard to assist Washington, California and New York, three of the states hit hardest by the coronavirus pandemic.
