Grieving relatives of passengers on board missing flight MH370 is offering a $3 million (£1.8m) reward for a whistleblower to come forward and give key information into the flight’s investigation.

After three months of failed search efforts, families have become convinced the authorities are concealing the truth about the disappearance of the Boeing 777 and will launch the crowd-funding campaign Indiegogo in a bid to get answers.   Continue reading “Malaysia Airlines Plane MH370: Grieving Families Launch $3 Million Whistleblower Reward Fund”

Looking around, it’s no secret that Americans are putting on the pounds unlike any other time in history. Sure, we can’t discount sedentary lifestyles, processed foods and outrageous sugar consumption as contributing factors. At the same time, an elephant in the room is often overlooked — one known as genetically modified food. Researches are beginning to connect the dots, realizing that the possibility of GMOs contributing to weight gain is not as far-fetched as once thought.   Continue reading “GMOs Encourage Weight Gain and Obesity, Researchers Discover”

Vermont is set to make history by becoming the first state in the country to require genetically modified (GMO) food to be labeled. But Monsanto, the world’s largest GMO producer, is gearing up to sue the state.

This is an important fight, not just for Vermont, but for everyone in the country: 25 other states are considering similar labeling laws, but are waiting for someone else to take the leap for their own laws to go into effect. If Vermont wins, it might not be long until the entire country mandates GMO labeling, giving consumers the information to make their own choices.   Continue reading “Monsanto is Threatening to Sue the State of Vermont over the Labelling of GMO Foods”

Ask Marion

One must question why we wouldn’t have sent in help, that was available, to save our Ambassador in Benghazi and why Sec of State John Kerry would not have demanded the release of our Marine, Sgt Tahmooressi, sitting in a jail in Mexico for making the wrong turn, when Kerry was already down there, but we would exchange 5 Taliban Commanders for one soldier that now seems to have gone AWOL and perhaps even joined the Taliban?!?   Continue reading “Judge Jeanine: Obama violated the law by not notifying Congress about the release of the Gitmo 5”

Trinity’s Conscious Kitchen

As a conscious gardener, I am aware that unless we all start foraging again and totally return to nature (which certainly wouldn’t be a bad thing in this day and age), that our gardens will always be a little out of balance – no matter how kind to the earth we are. Yet, I am always seeking to find the most compassionate, resourceful ways to grow veggies whilst causing as little disharmony as I can along the way.

One of the biggest battles I have found with gardening in the UK, especially in Somerset (which appears to be rain and flood central at the moment) is how to stop slugs and snails from wiping out my entire crop of vegetables. These hungry little molluscs are the bane of most kitchen gardens and whilst I love all animals, it hardly seems fair that they’ve often eaten far more of my vegetable crop than I ever have…   Continue reading “Keeping slugs & snails off your veggies compassionately”

(This is not my story, but was forwarded to me by a friend.)

It was a fine summer day…

Well, it would be fine, if it weren’t for all those big yellow dandelions cropping up in the lawn.  My husband, Don, and I tried to eliminate them from our view, but with no success.  They held steadfast.  I was reluctant to use chemicals, thinking of possible harm to our feathered friends who visited the various bird-feeders and bird-houses which Don had built and placed around our yard.   Continue reading “The Color Yellow”

Just days after calling for “an end to capitalism as we know it” to save the world from global warming, Prince Charles has turned up in Romania for a few days holiday at a mansion he owns there.

And guess how he got there?

Did he cycle? No.

Did he walk? No.

Did he go in a Nissan Leaf? No.

Did he go by Ryannair? No.

The Afghan president is angry at being kept in the dark over a deal to free five Taliban leaders in exchange for a captured U.S. soldier, and accuses Washington of failing to back a peace plan for the war-torn country, a senior source said on Monday.

The five prisoners were flown to Qatar on Sunday as part of a secret agreement to release Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, who left Afghanistan for Germany on the same day.   Continue reading “Afghan president fumes at prisoner deal made behind his back: source”
