Indian Country – by Vincent Schilling

Approximately a dozen Native actors and actresses, as well as the Native cultural advisor, left the set of Adam Sandler’s newest film production,The Ridiculous Six, on Wednesday. The actors, who were primarily from the Navajo nation, left the set after the satirical western’s script repeatedly insulted native women and elders and grossly misrepresented Apache culture.

The examples of disrespect included Native women’s names such as Beaver’s Breath and No Bra, an actress portraying an Apache woman squatting and urinating while smoking a peace pipe, and feathers inappropriately positioned on a teepee.   Continue reading “Native Actors Walk off Set of Adam Sandler Movie After Insults to Women, Elders”

Congresswoman Proposes $2,000 Tax Credit to Turn in Assault WeaponsTactical Shit – by Spike Bowan

(nbcconnecticut.com) U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro has introduced legislation aimed to curb gun violence by creating a tax credit to encourage people to turn-in assault weapons to state or local police.

“Let us be clear. Assault weapons are not about hunting or even self-defense and they should be off the streets,” DeLauro said of her proposed Support Assault Firearm Elimination and Reduction for our (SAFER) Street Act. “There is no reason on Earth, other than to kill as many people as possible in a very short period of time, that anyone needs a gun designed for military purposes.”   Continue reading “Congresswoman Proposes $2,000 Tax Credit to Turn in Assault Weapons”

Freedom Outpost – by Tim Brown

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) has backpedaled in its attempt to ban the popular M855 5.56/.223 round… Ok, they didn’t admit defeat. They admitted a “publishing error.” No, I’m not kidding.

It was previously reported that the ATF would were considering the bullets in question, which are fired from the highly popular AR-15 and other firearms that shoot the highly popular round, to be designated as “armor piercing” rounds. As I have pointed out, neither the federal government nor the ATF have any constitutional authority to determine anything about any arms or ammunition. Get it? Zero. Zip. Nada.   Continue reading “ATF Backpedals on Ammo Ban? – Claims “Publishing Error””

The videotaped deadly shooting by Pasco police of a homeless man who had reportedly been throwing rocks on a busy downtown street has raised numerous questions and prompted a protest Wednesday outside City Hall.

Deal: Cliven Bundy shakes hands with Sheiff Doug Gillespie on Saturday morning as the rancher comes to a deal to stop federal agents rounding up his cattleSo I went out to the Bundy ranch, or I say I tried to. After 2 hours of crawling I bailed on the whole ordeal and went home. 2 hours to get 25 miles out of Vegas and 20 minutes to get back,  what the hell is going on? Well I found out the “supporters” had blocked off the interstate and backed up traffic for 50 miles. So why call people out then make it so they can’t get there?

Now I went out because Bundy had made a statement for everyone to come out for a public meeting Saturday at 9am .  This was a set up for PR,  Bundy knew Friday it was all over, and yet,  told no one.  HE even said he didn’t know they were doing this.  This is bull,  I know it and have no doubt it will come out .

Why did Sheriff Gillespie seemed to wait for this to boil over before coming out to shake hands publicly with Bundy and make it all better?  Now of course you have to keep one thing in mind  …..its county election time. How convenient.

Spoiler alert: I’m in no way guarding my words in discussing this film, but I mean to get you to watch it and encourage others to do so– especially kids– even if you know every word of the script

Last night my son, T.J., took me to see ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’. I came home absolutely excited and delighted. This new film– certain to be a blockbuster anyway just for its towering success with all the normal metrics of action, drama, effects and pace– goes high on my list of important political films of the last decade.

This is a “Marvel Hero” vehicle, of course. It is thus rich with all the elements of fantasy native to that genre (all of which I appreciate).   Continue reading “Fabulous! ‘Captain America’ Denounces The DHS, NSA And The Overall National Security State As The Nazification Of The USA And Says THEY’VE GOT TO GO”

Anti-War – by Justin Raimondo

Ukraine is exploding, and the force of the eruption may plunge not only the country but also Europe and the US into an abyss out of which there is no easy extrication.

First, a primer for those who have missed the rapidly escalating events of the past few days: mobs of protesters have taken over Kiev and the government of Viktor Yanukovich has been effectively overthrown. Impeached by the Parliament, andopposed now even by members of his Party of Regions, Yanukovich has fled the presidential palace for parts unknown (probably to his home town of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, near the Russian border). The police and all signs of organized authority have simply disappeared from the streets of the city: armed bands dressed inmedieval armor, carrying bats, crowbars, and sometimes guns roam the streets, dispensing victor’s “justice” to anyone perceived as a Yanukovich supporter.   Continue reading “Coup in Kiev”
