Aug. 1 (UPI) — At least two people have died as a result of the McKinney Fire in Northern California, authorities said, which is now the largest wildfire the state has seen so far this year.

Tierra Monte, NM — In April of this year, the US government started the largest wildfire in New Mexico’s history. The fires were set by the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) — ironically to reduce wildfire risk — but having the opposite of their intended effect. Thanks to several acts of incompetence, neglect, and ignorance, the controlled burn morphed into a catastrophic blaze that engulfed over 530 square miles of mostly privately owned forests and meadows, while destroying 432 homes as well. Now, after burning down their homes and land, the state is demanding the victims pay for the damage themselves — despite previous reassurances that they would be given support.  Continue reading “US Gov’t Started a Massive Wildfire, Burning 432 Homes, and Is Now Forcing Victims to Pay for It”

Gastonia, NC — Joshua Rohrer is an honorably discharged Army veteran who, like tens of thousands of other veterans, is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after serving in Afghanistan. As a result of his illness, Rohrer hasn’t been able to hold down a job and is homeless. As panhandling is illegal in the city, Rohrer simply sits on the street and waves to folks as they walk by — which ended in October of last year with a violent encounter with police. Three months after his brutal attack, Rohrer  tried to prove his innocence by having the body camera released but police blocked it. Today I came across a grand absurdity in the form of a quote by one Harold Nicolson, a British politician and journalist. He died in 1968, but not before writing a couple of books on (get this) the value and benefits of MONARCHY!! I do not know which of his books contained the following quote, but found his defense of monarchy to be a dutiful upholding of the lie of that institution and of all the injustices it has dealt over the centuries. I post it here to demonstrate the sugar-poison that was served. This is the quote in three paragraphs: Continue reading “Quote and Comment on Monarchy”

There has been no temperature warming for at least 17 years across the United States, according to results from a rarely referenced dataset that was designed to remove all urban heat distortions. The dataset, compiled by the Natural Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in the U.S., shows oscillating temperature changes, but very little evidence to indicate a warming trend. In fact, the graph below clearly shows the United States to be cooler in May 2022 compared to May 2005.  Continue reading “No Warming in U.S. for at Least 17 Years According to Rarely Referenced Urban Heat-Free Database”

If you only look at Los Angeles and Long Beach — the largest container import gateway in America — you’d think shipping congestion has drastically reduced. The number of ships waiting there has fallen to 26 from a high of 109 in January. But in fact, North American port congestion has just re-entered record territory. The offshore traffic jam is once again as bad as it’s ever been. Continue reading “Here We Go Again: Record Container Ship Traffic Jam As Backlog Continues To Build”
