Farmington, NM — A veteran Farmington police officer was allowed to quietly resign this month in a move to escape accountability after horrifying video footage showed him attacking an 11-year-old girl with special needs.
The incident unfolded on August 27, but the officer’s lapel camera video has only just been released. It is nothing short of disturbing as it shows the officer, who is much bigger than the girl, slamming her down on the concrete while abusing her. A violent clash between settlers and Israel Defense Forces troops in which a soldier was injured elicited unanimous condemnation Sunday morning, as the prime minister and politicians from both sides of the aisle all denounced the violence that occurred the previous night.

Aurora, CO — Just as news about the tragic murder of Atatiana Jefferson by a Fort Worth police officer, who shot her through the window, surfaced, another similar incident unfolded in Aurora, Colo. An Aurora police officer — without saying anything — shot a 22-year-old man in the back through a window in his own home. The man never even saw the cop until after he’d been shot by him. President Donald Trump made a startling statement Friday afternoon while boasting about how he believes he handled his widely-condemned withdrawal of U.S. troops from Northern Syria – a move that had opened the gate to ethnic cleansing of America’s now-former allies, the Kurds.
“We’ve taken control of the oil in the Middle East, the oil that we’re talking about, the oil that everybody was worried about. We have the U.S. control of that,” Trump said, minutes after concluding a talk with the first two women astronauts to participate in an all-women spacewalk. Rightwing activists are attempting to spread new laws across Republican-controlled states that would ban criticism on public university campuses of Israel and its occupation of Palestinian territory.
Pro-Israel and conservative lobbyists are encouraging state lawmakers to outlaw antisemitism in public education, from kindergarten through to graduate universities. But the proposed definition of antisemitism is so wide that, in addition to standard protections against hate speech towards Jews, it would also prohibit debate about the human rights violations of the Israeli government. A series of news reports seem to give evidence that global conditions are getting increasingly better, which should bring climate alarmists, green justice warriors, and Extinction Rebellion cultists cause to celebrate.
To begin with, the American bison (i.e., buffalo) were on the verge of actual extinction. Now, their herds have increased to the point officials have reintroduced the animal to an area of the Badlands National Park area. Those will be the first bison in that area in about 150 years. On Monday evening, conservative students at the University of North Carolina Charlotte put a display up on their campus that warned of the deadly dangers of socialism. The “Socialism Graveyard” included headstones that told of the system’s death toll in various countries.
