SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Critics blasted a decision by Oregon lawmakers that killed a bill aimed at getting more children vaccinated for measles and other preventable diseases in order pass a tax on large businesses, saying it jeopardized public health.

Despite passing the House and having the necessary votes in the Senate, the measure to make it harder for families to opt out of required vaccinations was nixed as part of a deal announced Monday to end a week-long Republican walkout over a multibillion school funding tax.  Continue reading “Oregon vaccine bill dead as US measles count soars”

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has indicated that he will sign a bill aimed at combating anti-Semitism in public education, and it could occur during his planned trip to Israel later in the month.

DeSantis made this statement during a trip in Miami Gardens, Fla. The bill would bar discrimination on the basis of religion in the Florida public education system, including at state-funded institutions of higher education, and specifically hone in on anti-Semitism.  Continue reading “Fla. Albuquerque, NM — All too often we hear the police state apologist crowd tell those who advocate for police accountability that if people “don’t do anything wrong, they have nothing to worry about.” However, all too often, this is proven wrong as entirely innocent people are beaten, shot, or killed by cops and they did nothing wrong. As the following case illustrates, being entirely innocent is no defense from police kicking in your door and forcing their K-9 to tear you to shreds. Southwest Airlines reportedly removed a passenger from a flight at Sacramento International Airport in California last week for making a joke about vodka, of all things.

What are the details?

The flight was headed to Austin, Texas, by way of Los Angeles, and had already been delayed for several hours due to varying conditions such as a maintenance light and a refueling stop when a flight attendant began passing out cups of water to passengers.  Continue reading “Southwest Airlines makes huge gaffe in kicking man off an aircraft for making an innocent joke — but his fellow passengers stand up for him: report”

U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “There is no question that the right to keep and bear arms extends outside the home,” attorneys Alan Beck and Stephen Stamboulieh argue in a friend of the court brief filed Tuesday in the Supreme Court. “To argue otherwise is to render the phrase ‘bear arms’ superfluous within the Second Amendment.”

The case is New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. City of New York, challenging restrictions on transporting licensed firearms outside the home. Beck and Stamboulieh represent George Young in his complaint against the State of Hawaii for denying him a carry permit.  Continue reading “Lawyers for Hawaii Gun Carry Lawsuit File Supreme Court Brief in New York Case”

Commemorating the one-year anniversary of the US moving their embassy to Jerusalem, US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman declared that “Israel is on the side of God,” calling that a “secret weapon that not too many countries have.”

This sort of declaration is not unheard of among some varieties of Christianity within the United States. It has not, however, ever been a stated aspect of US policy, and Friedman’s comments suggest it is part of what is driving US policy toward Israel in general, including the embassy relocation.  Continue reading “US Ambassador: Israel Is On the Side of God”

In the land of the free, journalists are now being raided by SWAT teams in an effort to find out their sources and this is in spite of the law protecting journalists from this very act. Whenever you speak out on a public forum against internet censorship, like the recent Instagram/Facebook banning of Louis Farrakhan, Infowars, and several right-wing pundits, you always offend two major political groups. The first group are the power-serving authoritarians who identify with the left side of the political spectrum; they argue that it’s good and right to trust Silicon Valley plutocrats to regulate political speech on giant monopolistic platforms. The second group are the capitalism cheerleaders who believe there’s a free market solution to every problem; they argue that these Silicon Valley giants are private companies which are completely separate from the government, so it’s not accurate to refer to what they do with their own property as censorship.  Continue reading “Silicon Valley Giants Collaborate With The US Government On Venezuela”
