Joseph Rice’s manner is a long way from militia stereotypes. The Patriot Movement leader does not present as a crazed gun nut, nor as a blowhard white supremacist. He’s genial, folksy, and matter-of-fact in laying out his views. But talk to him for long enough, and time and again the Patriot Movement leader returns to what really drives him: land.

Rice is running for Josephine county commissioner in south-west Oregon, and believes that the federal government’s current role in land management is illegitimate and even tyrannical.   Continue reading “The rise of militias: Patriot candidates are now getting elected in Oregon”

The Castro brothers — Julián and Joaquín (not Fidel and Raúl) — are said to be studying Spanish very hard in the event that either one is picked as Hillary Clinton’s running mate.

Julián, the US Housing and Urban Development Secretary and former mayor of San Antonio, Texas, is on the short list of vice presidential potentials, along with Elizabeth Warren. His twin Joaquín — a congressman — is lower down on the list.   Continue reading “Potential Democratic VPs polish their Spanish”

He used to wake her up nights, shouting out his terror in the dark, his tattooed biceps continuing their clench-and-spasm dance long after a shift feeding cedar logs into the endless maw of the lumber mill.

In his nightmare, Keven Jones pushed the logs into neat rows, but as he dreamed, the logs started to tumble. They swung down, log after rolling log, bouncing off his rib cage, burying him. He would wake, eyes wide, mouth agape. Only seconds later did he hear himself screaming.   Continue reading “In a down-on-its-luck Oregon mill town, the savior they’re waiting for is Donald Trump”

Speaking at Northeastern University commencement ceremonies on Friday morning, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry advised newly-minted graduates that the world is on its way to becoming “borderless” and that the critical issues of our time are terrorism, poverty and, of course, climate change.

“I am honored this morning to address a university family that thankfully is one very utterly unafraid to look beyond our borders and into the future,” told a Boston Garden crowd of about 25,000, reports The Boston Globe.   Continue reading “John Kerry Advises Fancypants College Grads To Expect ‘BORDERLESS WORLD,’ Hammers Trump”

I was loping along, minding my own business when State of the Nation called me this morning and asked me about my choices in the upcoming federal elections.

“I don’t vote in federal elections,” I spluttered.

This is a sore spot with me, because the whole “election” process is a fraud—-and a nasty, tortuous one. It is designed to make you think that you have a voice and choice, when in fact, the voter registration itself is designed to enslave you as a “franchise” operator of the federal corporation. That is what “enfranchisement” means and that’s what happens when you register to vote.   Continue reading “Elections? What Elections? Big News. BIG.”

Living Americans naturally inhabit their birthright estate and DO NOT “reside” in any “State of State” concocted by the Federal United States or any incorporated entity at all.

Each of us who were born on the land can reclaim their birth right estate and operate the land jurisdiction courts, legislatures, and executive branch of government on the land under the Last Man Standing Rule of our native Law.   Continue reading “Acting as a judge of a superior court – the Last Man Standing Rule of our native Law – Judge Anna von Reitz, Alaska”

As to my being a judge….To give you the fair full depth of it, you have to learn a lot of history and learn it right now. so I am going to answer you and then I am going to post this letter and let everyone else read it to their heart’s delight.

Please bear in mind that if you feel stupid or overwhelmed at the end, that’s normal, and we all go through that in the process of waking up. Just realize that you were intentionally defrauded and kept uninformed, so it isn’t your fault that you never knew any of this. You simply weren’t told. So let’s begin.   Continue reading “Alaska State Superior Court Judge, Anna von Reitz – Judge of the actual Alaska State, one of the Several States of the Continental United States.”

(NEW YORK)  America has a huge part-time workforce problem.

And it’s Worry Number One for Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen. She has talked about part-timers at each of her last three press conferences, at nearly every speech in the last six months, and at both of her past two testimonies to Congress.

Yellen’s worries stem from the fact that the part-time U.S. workforce is at “very high levels.”   Continue reading “Federal Reserve Worried About America’s Part Time Work Force”

With the exception of maybe the cowboy, is there any job more typically “American” than being a trucker? Now, it’s time to rethink that as the industry increasingly depends on drivers from many parts of the world.

To see this shift up close, head 50 miles west of Los Angeles, just off Interstate 10, home to one of the busiest long-haul truck stops in the US. It’s where tired drivers often park their 18-wheelers for the night and eat, shower and relax before hitting the road again. It’s also where you’ll see just how multinational the trucking industry is now because of drivers like Harsharan Singh, originally from Punjab, India.   Continue reading “America’s trucking industry faces a shortage. Sweden is one of the main destinations for migrants entering the EU and police have warned they cannot cope with the tide of migrant-related crime.

Tax forms reveal that the controversial billionaire Koch brothers are throwing money into an effort to stop conservation efforts in the Grand Canyon.

Amid rumors that Charles and David Koch will be withdrawing their presence at the Republican National Convention, it has been revealed the billionaires have been funneling money into an Arizona-based group fighting a plan to ban uranium mining around the Grand Canyon, which would also protect 1.7 million acres of land.

A Senate bill that would allow families of those killed in the 9/11 attacks to sue the Saudi government has achieved a rare Washington distinction, by uniting the Obama administration and some of its fiercest GOP critics.

President Barack Obama, Speaker Paul D. Ryan, R-Wis., and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., are rallying to kill the bipartisan plan that would make it possible for American citizens to sue foreign governments believed to be linked to terrorist attacks on U.S. soil.   Continue reading “In Rare Alliance, Obama, Ryan Oppose 9/11 Bill”
