LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, hauled to jail for defying a series of federal court orders and refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, filed a 40-page court document Thursday, blaming Kentucky governor Steve Beshear for all her legal woes.

The day the Supreme Court effectively legalized gay marriage in June, Beshear sent a letter to the state’s 120 county clerks directing them to issue licenses. At least six illegal immigrants from Honduras and Guatemala have been killed, multiple others injured, and two arrested following a high-speed chase that ended with a crash in the rural town of Edna just northwest of Victoria, Texas. At least 15 people were crammed into the SUV.

The Republican governor has given Air Force Brig. Gen. Michael Cunniff 90 days to slim down and meet his obligations.

A prosecutor in southeastern Washington has charged three teens with felonies for marijuana possession, saying a new law demands the higher level of offense.

The Lewiston Tribune in Idaho reports the teens ages 14, 15 and 17 have been charged in nearby Asotin County with felonies that could net them up to five years in prison. A US veterans’ organizations is running an advertisement in Air Force Times urging military drone operators to refuse orders to fly attack missions. This comes as the Air Force encounters trouble retaining drone operators due to the stress of the job.

The ad was funded by KnowDrones, an organization that aims to achieve an outright ban on the use of weaponized drones
