The forensic analysis on AMIA special prosecutor Alberto Nisman’s body confirmed that there were no traces of gunpowder on his hands. However, experts explained that it does not contradict suicide hypothesis.

Prosecutor Viviana Fein, who leads the investigation of Nisman’s death, said this was not an “unexpected result” and that it “does not rule out the possibility that Nisman had fired the gun himself.”   Continue reading “No gunpowder traces found on Nisman’s hands, tests ordered on alleged weapon”

Havana (AFP) – A Russian intelligence warship docked in Havana on Tuesday, a day before the start of historic US-Cuba talks aimed at normalizing diplomatic relations.

There was nothing stealthy about the arrival of the Viktor Leonov CCB-175, which was moored to a pier in Old Havana where cruise ships often dock. But the visit was not officially announced by Cuban authorities.   Continue reading “Russian spy ship in Havana on eve of US-Cuba talks”

In a breathless, Drudge Report-linked headline, the Washington Post reported last week that the “Majority of U.S. public school students are in poverty.”

A Huffington Post piece by Rebecca Klein, published 12 minutes earlier, sported a similar headline, “More Than Half Of American Schoolchildren Now Live In Poverty.”

The only problem with these headlines, and the stories beneath them, is that they aren’t true—not even close. Both pieces were triggered by a report from the Southern Education Foundation.   Continue reading “Media Misrepresents Poverty Rate of US Children by More Than Double”

Hahaha! And…now that we’ve had our false flag, cue the insane warmongerer.

By the way, it amazes me how a U.S. Senator can spend so much time outside his country when his job is to handle the issues of the people INSIDE his country. Oh that’s right, I forgot. Zionist Israel IS his country.

U.S. Representative Louie Gohmert (R-TX) was appointed chairman of the House Subcommittee for Natural Resources Oversight and Investigations. This subcommittee has, among other responsibilities, oversight of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Gohmert received the committee chairmanship despite his recent historic challenge to House Speaker John Boehner earlier this month.

“It is an absolute privilege to represent the Lone Star State, more specifically east Texas, in the capacity of subcommittee chairman of such a relevant and responsible subcommittee,” Chairman Gohmert told Breitbart Texas. “This administration has hindered the United States’ ability to produce and manage our own vast resources, but I am really looking forward to helping the federal government become more responsible.”   Continue reading “Gohmert to have Oversight on BLM”

China’s Shanghai futures market crashed by the maximum 10 percent, and trading was suspended on January 19th, while Shanghai Composite Index fell by 7.7 percent. Both events were the worst day of trading since shortly after the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy launched the financial crisis six years ago.

Such an event in the U.S. would be epic, because Americans have 70 percent of household wealth in financial assets, but in China, 75 percent of household wealth is in real estate. If a real estate crash took place in China, it could set off the type of “black swan” event to cause an ugly international panic.   Continue reading “Collapse of China’s Real Estate Could Be Next Financial “Black Swan” Disaster”

WASHINGTON — At least 50 U.S. law enforcement agencies have secretly equipped their officers with radar devices that allow them to effectively peer through the walls of houses to see whether anyone is inside, a practice raising new concerns about the extent of government surveillance.

Those agencies, including the FBI and the U.S. Marshals Service, began deploying the radar systems more than two years ago with little notice to the courts and no public disclosure of when or how they would be used. The technology raises legal and privacy issues because the U.S. Supreme Court has said officers generally cannot use high-tech sensors to tell them about the inside of a person’s house without first obtaining a search warrant.   Continue reading “New police radars can ‘see’ inside homes”

Luis V. Gutierrez (Helayne Seidman -- For The Washington Post)The Washington Post – by Rosalind S. Helderman

Many members of Congress are reserving their guest passes to Tuesday’s State of the Union address for victims of gun violence to serve as an emotional and visual example of the need for President Obama’s gun-control agenda. But Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez will use his invite to highlight another topic expected to get a mention in Obama’s speech — immigration.

Gutierrez announced Monday that he’s invited Gabino Sanchez, a South Carolina man who is fighting deportation from the United States, to attend the speech. Gutierrez has been working on behalf of Sanchez to help him secure legal residency in the United States, accompanying him to three Immigration and Customs Enforcement appointments. RICHMOND, Va.- (Jan. 19, 2015)  A bill introduced in the Virginia assembly would take the next step in stopping illegal federal kidnapping under the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act.

Virginia stood alone and passed the first bill in the country addressing detention provisions written into the NDAA  in 2012. That law forbids state agencies, in some situations, from cooperating with any federal attempts to exercise the indefinite detention provisions written into sections 1021 and 1022 of the National Defense Authorization Act.   Continue reading “Virginia’s New Anti-NDAA Detention Bill Turns the Table on Feds”

I picture him in a shadowy room, stretched out in a plush leather chair with a cup of steaming coffee on the table next to him. His hands are steepled at his mouth as he studies in meditative silence the bank of muted screens before him. Flickering across those screens are pundits, press conferences, and live reports from war correspondents. He killed the sound a minute before. He doesn’t need to hear the words. He understands the message all too well.

The West is closing in.

I’ve heard Vladimir Putin referred to as The Chessmaster. I’ve never sat at the board with the man so I can’t say for certain this is apt. But it does seem like the Russian leader’s moves of late have been carefully thought-out and even more carefully executed.   Continue reading “Crisis Point: Putin, The West, and the Game Being Played”
