Despite having a complex immigration system in place Mexican authorities refuse to enforce the laws. A recent attempt to enforce those laws in the Mexican State of Baja California was met with a backlash from the business community forcing authorities to stop.

The program was halted earlier this week at the Otay-Mesa border crossing where pedestrians entering Mexico were asked to show a passport and declare how long they planned to stay in the country, according to the U-T San Diego.   Continue reading “Mexico Stops Enforcing Immigration Laws In Northern Border With California”

Contrary to widespread belief, Texas leaders did not did not deploy the National Guard to the entire Texas border. IMG_7546 copyHey all,

I was traveling with my family on November 10, 2014 to Hot Springs, Arkansas for a vacation and this is what I noticed traveling on Hwy 30. The first two pics were of an armored vehicle being transported through Texarkana and into Arkansas.

The second one (the blurry one) was another armored vehicle taken on Hwy 30 as well, somewhere between Hope and Prescott, heading North in the same direction as the first one. Not sure where they could be headed. Maybe Little Rock.   Continue reading “Report: Armored Vehicles Spotted Highway 30, Arkansas”

Currency War - Public DomainThe Economic Collapse – by Michael Snyder

This is the big problem with fiat currency – eventually the temptation to print more of it when you are in a jam becomes too powerful to resist.  In a surprise move on Friday, the Bank of Japan dramatically increased the size of the quantitative easing program that it has been conducting.  This sent Japanese stocks soaring and the Japanese yen plunging.  The yen had already fallen by about 11 percent against the dollar over the last year before this announcement, and news of the BOJ’s surprise move caused the yen to collapse to a seven year low.  Essentially what the Bank of Japan has done is declare a currency war.  And as you will see below, in every currency war there are winners and there are losers.  Let’s just hope that global financial markets do not get shredded in the crossfire.   Continue reading “It’s Currency War! – And Japan Has Fired The First Shot”

The employment situation in the US has been outright rosy. Initial unemployment claims have been bumping along near record lows. Whether or not companies are hiring, at least they’re not axing people in massive numbers. The unemployment rate of 5.8% is practically comfort inducing. OK, we can smell the odor of the details underneath, but hey. And for September, the Challenger Job Cut Report raved about 2014 being “on pace to be the lowest job-cut year since 1997.”

Got it. Things are good.   Continue reading “Layoffs Explode In America’s Big Old Tech Companies”

The first battle over the direction of the GOP since Tuesday’s tidal wave election is quietly building as conservatives race to construct a plan to stop President Obama’s executive amnesty.

Huddling in Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) office Wednesday, top conservative aides sketched out a plan to include language prohibiting Obama from issuing employment permits to illegal aliens in an upcoming “omnibus” spending bill – and settling for a four-week stopgap bill if Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid balks in the last days of his rule.   Continue reading “The Conservative Plan To Stop Obama’s Executive Amnesty”

As I wrote in my article, “Big Oil, Qataris, Saudis Lick Lips As US ‘Fights ISIS’ By Bombing Syrian Pipelines,” the propaganda narrative regarding the Syrian crisis has now reached the level of total absurdity. It is now being reported by the mainstream media that the United States must bomb Syrian oil pipelines in order to defeat the ISIS threat that NATO itself created.

While logically fallacious, the rationale offered to the American public remains that ISIS is making millions of dollars per day via the sale of the oil taken from the fields in its possession on the black market to a number of different states.   Continue reading “US: ‘Stop ISIS By Attacking Assad’s Oil Pipelines!’”

The FBI successfully provided protection for violent drug cartels today by seizing the peaceful e-commerce website Silk Road 2.0.

This feat was accomplished because “at least one undercover law enforcement agent” helped start the shop and run it for a year.

Andy Greenberg of Wired reports:   Continue reading “Honeypot? Federal agents helped launch and run Silk Road 2.0”

Globe Earth World - Public DomainThe Economic Collapse – by Michael Snyder

How do you fix a superpower with exploding levels of debt, that has a rapidly aging population, that consumes far more wealth than it produces, and that has scores of zombie banks that could collapse at any moment.  You might think that I am talking about the United States, but I am actually talking about Europe.  You see, the truth is that the European Union has a larger population than the United States does, it has a larger economy than the United States does, and it has a much larger banking system than the United States does.  Most of the time I write about the horrible economic problems that the U.S. is facing, but without a doubt economic conditions in Europe are even worse at the moment.  In fact, there are many (including the Washington Post) that are calling what is happening in Europe a full-blown “depression”.  Sadly, this is probably only just the beginning.  In the months to come things in Europe are likely to get much worse.   Continue reading “The Economy Of The Largest Superpower On The Planet Is Collapsing Right Now”

A three-story building in a quiet one-way alley in northern Tehran is the headquarters of an unlikely campaign that opposes both the administration of President Hassan Rouhani and many of the Islamic Republic’s establishment figures.

The Velenjak building is the base of activities for former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has his offices on its third floor.   Continue reading “Is Ahmadinejad Making a Comeback?”

Attorney General- Lynch-1.jpgFox News

She’s an under-the-radar contender to become the first black woman to head the Justice Department.

Loretta Lynch rarely holds news conferences, does interviews or gives speeches in her current job as U.S. attorney in Brooklyn. But the lack of a paper trail on Lynch hasn’t kept her from emerging in recent weeks as one of only a handful of people still under consideration by the White House to replace the outgoing Eric Holder as attorney general.   Continue reading “Low-profile NYC prosecutor emerges as contender to be first black woman US attorney general”
