That was the headline on Drudge Report yesterday.

Matt Drudge was referring to Kathleen Sebelius, secretary of the Obama regime’s Department of Health and Human Service (HHS) and, as such, the woman in charge of the disaster called the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare.   Continue reading “The most hated woman in America”

dont-hate-crossbow-615All Outdoor – by David Hunter Jones

Crossbows are currently enduring what compound bows battled years ago; claims that their use will decimate deer herds and ruin the “sport” of archery. The same goes for 60 percent let-offs. The old stick-and-string was simply becoming unrecognizable to the elitists and purists of archery, and they didn’t like it.

They dug in their heels and whined and moaned about the impending deer population apocalypse that compound bows would bring. Well, 60 percent let-offs are here, compound bows are the norm and guess what: deer hunting has never been better. Period.   Continue reading “Don’t Hate the Crossbow”

Tax IncreaseThe Sovereign Investor

Now, I’m scared …

And if you, too, care about preserving your personal wealth, then a new report released this month by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) should leave you paralyzed with fear and desperate to find measures to counteract the attack that will soon take aim at your pocketbook.

In the 100-plus-page report dryly titled Fiscal Monitor: Taxing Times, the IMF has essentially given lawmakers from deeply indebted countries a paint-by-numbers kit on how to extract larger tax revenues from anyone with any level of wealth. Though the IMF’s language is couched in faux-objectivity, the underlying message is shockingly clear: Many developed nations, especially the United States, have abundant opportunities “to raise revenue from the top of the income distribution,” using a variety of methods including the direct confiscation of personal wealth.   Continue reading “A Confiscation Tax is Headed Your Way …”

Having failed to convince Washington to launch a military strike against Iran, the powerful Israel lobby in the United States is now focusing its efforts to “sabotage” the nuclear talks between Tehran and the world powers, an American professor says.

“In the face of that problem of not being able to mobilize the United States to go to war with Iran, they’re focusing on strangling the economy,” James Petras, Bartle Professor (Emeritus) of Sociology at Binghamton University, New York, told Press TV on Wednesday.    Continue reading “Israel lobby trying to ‘sabotage’ Iran-US nuclear talks: James Petras”

marijuana no 263x164 Appeal for Marijuana Reclassification Rejected: Still Deemed Dangerous and Medicinally UselssNatural Society – by Elizabeth Renter

The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal from medical marijuana advocates, requesting the classification of marijuana as a Schedule I substance be reconsidered. With that denial, the Supreme Court said lower courts were right in upholding the DEA’s determination that the Food and Drug Administration must be the ones with the final say. In other words, marijuana is still considered a highly dangerous and addictive drug with no medical applications.   Continue reading “Appeal for Marijuana Reclassification Rejected: Still Deemed “Dangerous” and Medicinally Uselss”

kerryCNS News – by Patrick Goodenough

Secretary of State John Kerry expressed his frustration Tuesday with the fact that even in the United States, “a very educated country,” there are those who do not recognize the urgency of combating global warming.

Addressing the D.C. Greening Embassies Forum, which encourages the “greening” of foreign mission in Washington, Kerry took aim at those who challenge the notion that the science is settled when it comes to climate change.   Continue reading “Kerry ‘Amazed’ That Some Americans Still Don’t Grasp Urgency of Global Warming”

Last week, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe gave orders to the Defense Ministry to shoot down any foreign drones that ignore warnings to leave Japanese airspace.

Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Geng Yansheng responded on Saturday. According to Chinese state-run media Xinhua, “Geng said that if Japan took the so-called moves, it would be a severe provocation to China and an act of war, and China will take resolute measures to strike back.”   Continue reading “China Vows War If Japan Follows Orders To Shoot Drones”

7-Eleven StoreOff the Grid News – by John Evans

Crooks in three different robbery attempts got more than they bargained for when they ran into gun-wielding citizens.

All three demonstrate what gun rights supporters call the “equalizing” power of firearms.

In the first incident, the owner of a jewelry store in Alcoa, Tennessee, shot one of two suspects attempting to rob his store, according to the news station WBIR.   Continue reading “Wheelchair-Bound Storeowner Stops Two Robbers With His Gun”

The alleged shooting at the Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut in December of last year has caused quite a bit of friction and disagreement amongst the staff at American Free Press. Here I will attempt to explain my views on this controversial subject, which stand in stark contrast to the position taken by Michael Collins Piper in his recent article entitled, “Internet Rife with Disinformation: “Cyber Shills” working to misdirect, embarrass legitimate conspiracy researchers,” published on page 18 in issue number 43 of AFP’s print edition.    Continue reading “Sandy Hook shooting: Where’s the proof?”

Washington, DC –-(Ammoland.com)- The Senate Judiciary Committee will soon begin the first step in taking anti-gun judges and “court-packing” them into what is widely regarded as the nation’s second-most-important court — the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.

And, unlike anti-gun judges with no “paper trail,” the nominee, Robert Wilkins, has a particularly virulent anti-gun record.   Continue reading “Senate Committee to Vote on Anti-Gun Judge, Robert Wilkins for Nation’s 2nd-Highest Court”

In this new Police State, even the police are thugs. They will abuse you, rob you, take your property, all in the guise of protecting and serving us! This twisted logic has us at the point of no return. The People will either rise up against this abuse or they will comply and be slaves. Police officers are forcing people to choose between time behind bars or turning over their money and property — all without ever making an arrest. Fight civil asset forfeiture abuse.   Continue reading “A Question: When Did “Serve And Protect” Become “Seize And Profit”?”

Russia’s army is set to adopt a new assault rifle that performs effectively both on the ground and underwater. The ADS assault rifle, can fire standard-issue 5.45-mm cartridges when above the water with accuracy and effectiveness similar to that of AK-74s.
