Altogether 25,000 military and Federal Police, Highway Patrol, Military and government agencies are involved. According to the Department of Defense,  this is the largest mobilization ever conducted by the Brazilian government in combating illicit trade.

Among the issues being tackled are drug trafficking, smuggling and embezzlement, arms trafficking and ammunition, environmental crimes, smuggling of vehicles, immigration and illegal mining.
