After months of stonewalling and denials, Rolling Stone magazine has finally retracted its totally fabricated “campus rape” story which claimed that fraternity rape is endemic across America’s universities. How many times do you talk to a buddy who is into Survivalism, or militia type activities, and he tells you he bought a new piece of gear, simply because “Fill In The Blank” (a tactical gear authority, don’t you know), said it was the shiznit of all shizum, when it comes to that type of accessory. Lawyers for the Department of Justice submitted a memorandum Friday in the United States District Court, Southern District of California, in support of defendant’s motion to dismiss Lycurgan, Inc., dba Ares Armor vs. B. Todd Jones [successor name to be substituted], in his official capacity as Head of the San Diego Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The case involves Ares’ contention that ATF erred and overstepped its authority in declaring the firm’s EP80 polymer precursor receivers (“80 percent receivers”) to be complete receivers, and thus “firearms” as defined by the Gun Control Act of 1968. Kansas will join a handful of other states that allow their residents to carry concealed firearms without a permit after a bill backed by the National Rifle Association was approved, The Associated press reported.
Republican Gov. Sam Brownback is expected to sign the bill despite some lawmakers’ apprehensions about the state dropping its requirement that anyone seeking to carry a concealed firearm undergo at least eight hours of training.
