PRODUCTS: Remington is voluntarily recalling Remington Model 887™ shotguns manufactured from December 1, 2013 to November 24, 2014.
DESCRIPTION OF THE HAZARD: Remington has determined that some Remington Model 887™ shotguns manufactured between December 19, 2013 and November 24, 2014 may exhibit a defect causing the firing pin to bind in the forward position within the bolt, which can result in an unintentional discharge when chambering a live round. While Remington has the utmost confidence in the design of the 887™ shotgun, it is undertaking this recall in the interest of consumer safety. Continue reading “Remington Model 887™ Shotgun Recall”

CT (computed tomography) scans are now a well established medical imaging procedure which both the government and the scientific community have confirmed increases cancer risk. CT scanners bombard the human body with radiation levels more than 1000 times greater than a standard x-ray. They damage DNA and create mutations that spur cells to grow into tumors.
Currently, more than 80 million CT scans are performed annually in the United States, around half in women, reflecting the large number of individuals who are exposed to this source of radiation. Thought leaders in radiology are often quoted as estimating that 30% or more of advanced imaging tests may be unnecessary, and while there are few scientific data to precisely estimate the amount of overuse, many radiologists believe the proportion may be even higher. With drones flying silently overhead, sophisticated electronic surveillance gathering momentum and the threat of having email, social media and bank accounts hacked becoming progressively concerning, the prospect that we are being watched is frighteningly real.
Evidence of the growing, widespread use of extensive clandestine operations did of course surface in 2013 when Edward Snowden revealed to the world that the US government was involved in developing a top secret surveillance system to track the online and telephone activity of everyday citizens. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) claims that it’s basically a death sentence for you and your children. But raw milk consumption, according to a new study published in The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, can actually help prevent colds, viruses and respiratory tract infections (RTIs) from forming in kids, as opposed to commercially processed milk which provides little or no health benefits.
A cohort of researchers, doctors and other medical professionals from across Europe investigated the effects of raw milk versus boiled farm-fresh milk and commercial processed milk as part of a larger investigatory project known as “PASTURE.” A group of women, roughly half of whom lived and worked on livestock farms in rural areas of mostly central Europe, were recruited to participate in the research. Magnesium is extremely important for your health because it is needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body. Magnesium is fourth most prevalent mineral in the body and is partially responsible for countless aspects good, sound health. Roughly 50% of our body’s total magnesium is stored in our bones, while the remaining part of magnesium is predominantly found in the cells of body tissues and organs. Only 1% of magnesium is available in blood, although the human body is very good at regulating a constant level of magnesium in the blood. Continue reading “Health Benefits of Magnesium”

An almost sure fire way to help lessen symptoms and speed recovery of a cold is to take a combination of colloidal silver and some of nature’s best cold fighters: echinacea, vitamin C, zinc, olive leaf extract and garlic.
Take plentiful amounts of vitamin C (up to 1,000 mg of vitamin C an hour for the first 6 hours and then up to 1000 mg three times daily thereafter) and one to three cloves of freshly minced garlic that has been allowed to sit for 15 minutes, along with the amounts specified on the product labels for olive leaf extract and zinc. Take plenty of echinacea – at least three to four times the amount on the label. It is best to have the echinacea in extract form so you can gargle with it too, as echinacea has antiseptic qualities and soothing qualities that can help with the sore throat when gargled and swallowed. A paradigm-shifting study indicates that the standard of care for diabetics, including synthetic insulin and oral anti-diabetic drugs, increases morbidity and mortality from diabetes. Natural substances, on the other hand, have proven healing properties that if used, could mitigate the global diabetes epidemic.
A new study titled, “Glucose-lowering with exogenous insulin monotherapy in type 2 diabetes: dose association with all-cause mortality, cardiovascular events, and incident cancer,” renews concern over the harms caused by synthetic insulin in type 2 diabetics previously highlighted in a 2013 study that found double the death rate in type 2 diabetics on insulin therapy. “The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie—deliberate, contrived, and dishonest, but the myth—persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
