Is Mitt Romney, who ran for the Republican presidential nomination and lost in 2008, ran again and won the nomination but lost the general election in 2012, really thinking about running yet again for president in 2016? Many Republicans have simply assumed not. Romney has seemed to discourage such talk in media appearances, and there has been a general belief that after losing as the party’s nominee, the 67 year-old Romney would return to private life for good.   Continue reading “Romney 2016 is for Real”

I can only wonder if this sentencing would have gone the same way for a pro-gun person. Why this man was advocating for gun control – while he actively carries a gun – is something that I’m not about to understand.

In February, a man who was pushed for laws that would make it a felony for carrying on school grounds, was arrested for…   Continue reading “NY Gun Control Activist Forgets He Was Carrying While On School Grounds, You Won’t Believe The Rest of the Story”

Yeah, yeah, cue the one-armed robber jokes. A pair of would-be armed robbers certainly had their hands full with the employees of a truck stop in Kentucky.

According to Kentucky.com,

Two men had entered the truck stop, and the one holding a gun demanded money. Continue reading “Truck Stop Employee Shoots One Armed Robber While Another Employee Tackles a Second”

We all know about CDC whistleblower William Thompson now.

On August 27, he released a statement through his lawyer, Rick Morgan, in which he admitted research fraud.

Thompson confessed he and his co-authors cooked the data in a key 2004 study, thereby exonerating the MMR vaccine from any connection to autism.   Continue reading “There are 2 other MMR vaccine whistleblowers”

More police departments have adopted data analytics as a way to combat urban crime. Supporters of the approach, also referred to as predictive policing, say that if it is used in conjunction with existing policing techniques, such as community policing, it could have a drastic impact on crime. Some note, however, that the predictive policing methodology is more useful for its general tactical utility rather than the accuracy of its predictions.

When is the U.S. banking system going to crash?  I can sum it up in three words.  Watch the derivatives.  It used to be only four, but now there are five “too big to fail” banks in the United States that each have more than 40trillion dollars in exposure to derivatives.  Today, the U.S. national debt is sitting at a grand total of about 17.7 trillion dollars, so when we are talking about 40 trillion dollars we are talking about an amount of money that is almost unimaginable.  And unlike stocks and bonds, these derivatives do not represent “investments” in anything.  They can be incredibly complex, but essentially they are just paper wagers about what will happen in the future.  The truth is that derivatives trading is not too different from betting on baseball or football games.   Continue reading “5 U.S. Banks Each Have More Than 40 Trillion Dollars In Exposure To Derivatives”

NJ.com, a consortium of reliably left-wing newspapers in the Garden State, has published an op-ed calling for the scrapping of the Second Amendment:

Having fewer guns lying around could mean they won’t end up in the hands of a curious child, abusive spouse or suicidal person. Having a gun at home makes it three times more likely that you’ll be murdered by a family member or intimate partner, or successfully attempt suicide.

But let’s not kid ourselves: Gun buyback programs are not going to reduce murders in cities like Newark and Camden. Studies have found that buyback programs don’t have much effect overall on either gun crime or gun-related injury rates.  Continue reading “Newspaper Calls For Mandatory Gun Confiscation”

The Seattle City Council passed a new ordinance Monday that could mean $1 fines for people who toss too many table scraps into the trash.

Under current Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) rules, people living in single-family homes are encouraged but not required to dispose of food waste and compostable paper products in compost bins.

Apartment buildings must have compost bins available, but residents of apartment buildings aren’t required to use them.    Continue reading “Trash Police To Fine Residents For Throwing Away Too Much Food”

Catching up to this news, which dropped quietly just before the holiday weekend: In a first, the US Department of Agriculture has given permission for chicken products processed in the People’s Republic of China to be sold in the United States without labeling that would indicate where the chicken products came from.

The news was broken by Politico, whose writers obtained USDA documents before the agency released them, and then followed up by the New York Times, with some no-holds-barred analysis by Bloomberg Businessweek.    Continue reading “Unlabeled Chinese Chicken Approved By USDA”

In a 40-minute address to the UN General Assembly on Wednesday, President Barack Obama described the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (or ISIS) as “a network of death” and called on world leaders to join the U.S. in taking “concrete steps to address the danger posed by religiously motivated fanatics, and the trends that fuel their recruitment.”

“There can be no reasoning, no negotiation, with this brand of evil,” Obama told the General Assembly. He said force is the only language the militants understand, and warned those who have joined ISIS’s cause to “leave the battlefield while they can.”   Continue reading “On Day Two of ‘Illegal’ US-Led Bombing of Syria, Obama Asks for Help Fighting ‘Network of Death’”

Police on Tuesday brought in an armored siege vehicle as the hunt for alleged cop killer Eric Frein moved into its 11th day.

‘The Rook,’ described by its manufacturers as ‘six tons of pure responsive force’ will allow officers to shield themselves as they hunt for Frein in dense woodland in northeast Pennsylvania.

The tracked vehicle was brought to a police staging post just south of the village of Canadensis where police are focusing their search.    Continue reading “Six-ton armored siege vehicle called The Rook with bullet-proof platform brought in as net closes on survivalist wanted over cop’s murder”

JIMMY CARTER WAS AN INCREDIBLY WEAK MAN AND A BAD PRESIDENT BUT YOU NEVER SENSED HE HATED AMERICA

“Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished.” Ecclesiastes 4:13

Actually, we are at a loss for words on this one. Watch as Obama, America’s Commander-in-chief, shows nothing but contempt and disrespect for not only the office that he holds, but for the troops that he commands as well. See him as he sneers, looks down at the ground, never removing his Chicago “thug life” sunglasses as he contemptuously fires off a forced salute of the Marines who are there to guard his life.    Continue reading “See The Incredible Disrespect As Obama Sneers And Salutes With Coffee Cup In Hand”
