Russia and China have begun the construction of a new gas pipeline linking the countries, with a ceremony in the Siberian city of Yakutsk.

China’s CNPC has agreed to buy $400bn (£240bn) of gas from Russia’s Gazprom.

Ahh, family time. It doesn’t get much warmer than this. A father and his son were at home last night in Erie County, NY when they heard a noise outside. Upon investigation, they found 18-year-old Jacob Rappleye and 22-year-old Anthony Guarino inside the home after breaking in via a 2nd story window by using a ladder.

The Arizona shooting range that was the site of the accidental shooting death of Charles Vacca, a firearms instructor, by a 9 year old student who lost control of a fully automatic Uzi submachine gun is shutting down.

According to KTAR,

PHOENIX — A gun range where an instructor was accidentally shot and killed by a child this week has closed indefinitely.

The range closed after the shooting but customers were still showing up two days later, according to a local news report.

Along with their apparent predisposition against guns, Mackey and Valentine base their predictions on a 1992 claim from Daniel Webster, whose advocacy of gun control masquerades as public health research. Idaho, as with most states, has a preemption statute that guarantees uniform gun laws across the state. The laws have proven to be popular in the United States. All states have some form of preemption. In New York, courts have ruled that the State handgun licensing law preempts local ordinances. The laws vary in their application by state.

In the case of Twin Falls, an old ordinance prohibited the carrying of guns in county parks. This was in violation of state law.
