It’s no surprise to us that crime is taking a nose-dive in the state of Illinois after they became the last state in the country to allow it’s citizens to carry concealed firearms. Numbers are now coming out that show just how much of an effect it’s had in it’s first few months.

“Just the idea that the criminals don’t know who’s armed and who isn’t has a deterrence effect,” said Richard Pearson, executive director of the Illinois State Rifle Association.

The number of robberies that have led to arrest in the city has dropped 20 percent from last year. Reports of burglary and vehicle thefts are also down over 20 percent. And finally in the first quarter, the city’s homicide rate was the lowest it’s been in 56 years.

These numbers are no coincidence.    Continue reading “Crime Rates Drop Across The Board Since Allowing Concealed Carry”

The tragic joke of the whole thing is that while the TSA molests Senior citizens and harasses pregnant women and children with time-wasting, invasive searches that have yet to stop one terror episode of any kind, ISIS is beginning to slither in through the porous, open border that Obama refuses to close up. FDR famously once said that “nothing in politics happens by accident. If it happens, it was planned.” Open borders, Islamic terrorism streaming in unstopped. Yes, that’s the plan.

Former CIA covert operations officer Mike Baker said that he believes there is “a lot of communication” between ISIS and Mexican drug cartels given past efforts by al Qaeda to do likewise on Thursday’s “Laura Ingraham Show.”    Continue reading “ISIS Is Entering U.S. Through Our Open Southern Borders”

The lawyer for a Massachusetts man who has a “666″ tattoo and horns implanted on his forehead believes that his appearance will make it impossible for him to find an impartial jury or receive a fair trial, The Republican reports.

James G. Reardon, Jr. is worried that the appearance of his client, Caius Veiovis, will distract jurors from the facts of the case, and petitioned Hampden Superior Court Judge C. Jeffrey Kinder to allow him to show potential jurors a photograph of Veiovis before jury selection.   Continue reading “Massachusetts man fears his horns, ’666′ forehead tattoo will make a fair trial impossible”

Well, not gonna lie, this one makes me sad to write up. Also, this news is a little older, but it never really got much attention in the gun community from what I can tell.

Norman Reedus, who is best known for the roles of Murphy McManus in Boondock Saints series and currently Daryl Dixon on the Walking Dead, showed both his ignorance on guns as well as his anti-gun leanings during a 2013 interview.   Continue reading “Norman Reedus, From Boondock Saints and Walking Dead – No “Reason to Have ‘Automatic Weapons’ at All””

At least 34 sailors are being kicked out of the Navy for their roles in a cheating ring that operated undetected for at least seven years at a nuclear power training site, and 10 others are under criminal investigation, the admiral in charge of the Navy’s nuclear reactors program told The Associated Press.

The number of accused and the duration of cheating are greater than was known when the Navy announced in February that it had discovered cheating on qualification exams by an estimated 20 to 30 sailors seeking to be certified as instructors at the nuclear training unit at Charleston, South Carolina. Students there are trained in nuclear reactor operations to prepare for service on any of the Navy’s 83 nuclear-powered submarines and aircraft carriers.   Continue reading “AP NewsBreak: Navy Kicks out 34 for Nuke Cheating”

Fourteen former federal police officers have gone on trial on charges of using excessive force in a 2012 shooting attack that wounded two CIA agents, Mexico’s national security commissioner said Wednesday.

Monte Alejandro Rubido said there was no evidence the police officers had acted on orders from an organized crime gang, saying the attack on the diplomatic vehicle was a case of mistaken identity.   Continue reading “Mexico: 14 Police on Trial for US SUV Shooting”

Sears is an icon of American retail. It’s been around since 1893 and served as a staple for many consumers for much of that time. But in recent years, under the stewardship of CEO Eddie Lampert, it’s turned into a money pit. Today, it announced a quarterly loss of  more than $500 million. Last quarter, it lost more than $400 million. And the long-running decline is accelerating.   Continue reading “Sears has lost nearly $1 billion so far this year and it’s just getting started”

Featured photo - U.S. Military Bans The InterceptThe Intercept – by By Ryan Gallagher

The U.S. military is banning and blocking employees from visiting The Intercept in an apparent effort to censor news reports that contain leaked government secrets.

According to multiple military sources, a notice has been circulated to units within the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps warning staff that they are prohibited from reading stories published by The Intercept on the grounds that they may contain classified information. The ban appears to apply to all employees—including those with top-secret security clearance—and is aimed at preventing classified information from being viewed on unclassified computer networks, even if it is freely available on the internet. Similar military-wide bans have been directed against news outlets in the past after leaks of classified information.   Continue reading “U.S. Military Bans The Intercept”

Breaking a gun law in New York City will now bring shame and embarrassment as part of the punishment, if lawmakers get their way.  New York City Council introduced the bill that could get people on a public registry, just as sex offenders can be found.  The Public Safety Committee, as it has been referred to as, is still currently in the works.  A gun-offender registry does already exist, but it is only accessible to members of the police force.   Continue reading “Public Shaming For Gun Offenders In NYC?”

I’ll file this under ‘LOL Of The Day’. A 20-year-old man decided to walk into Orlando’s Food Market this past Wednesday and tried to make a quick buck by robbing a 72-year-old woman. Little did the robber know that he was messing with one tough lady.

“She’s one tough cookie,” Says the Police Chief.

The man, Alexander “Auchki” Bomba, walked into the market and pointed a pistol in the woman’s face while demanding that she give him cash. She didn’t like his idea and instead decided to get into a scuffle with the robber, during which she was able to gain control of his pistol and turn the tables by letting him stare down the barrel.   Continue reading “Robber Needs A New Hobby After A 72-Year-Old Woman Gained Control Of His Gun And Turned The Tables”
