QUINCY, ILL. — The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting two more deaths from Legionnaires’ disease after an outbreak at a western Illinois veterans’ home.

PARIS (AP) — European countries will increase identity checks and baggage controls on trains after American passengers thwarted an attack on a high-speed train from Amsterdam to Paris, France’s interior minister said Saturday.

Two people have been shot dead and two others have been wounded near an office of the Internal Revenue Service in Salinas, California in what seems to be a tragic culmination of a domestic violence dispute.

A 64-year-old man and 51-year-old woman were shot dead and another woman, 32, and her cousin, 28, were wounded on Thursday, police officials said.

AKRON, Ohio — Police have charged an Akron man with voluntary manslaughter after he allegedly shot and killed a home invasion suspect earlier this month.
