police militarizationHuffington Post – by Radley Balko

One of the central themes of my book is that that too many cops today have been conditioned to see the people they serve not as citizens with rights, but as an enemy. My argument is that this battlefield mindset is the product of a generation of politicians telling police that they’re at war with things — drugs, terrorism, crime, etc. — and have then equipped them with the uniforms, tactics, weapons, and other accoutrements of war.   Continue reading “SWAT Cop Says American Neighborhoods Are ‘Battlefields,’ Claims Cops Face Same Dangers As Soldiers In Afghanistan”

FinchBen Swann Full Disclosure – by Michael Lotfi

In a developing story, Sheriff Nick Finch was arrestedcharged with a felony and suspended without pay for supporting a citizen’s 2nd Amendment rights. It’s not a story you hear every day. It’s certainly not a story you’d expect out of a county named Liberty.

The events began when Floyd Eugene Parrish, a Florida resident, was arrested and detained by one of Finch’s deputies for carrying a firearm without a permit on March 8th, 2013. In the state of Florida, this lands you a 3rd degree felony charge. Finch released Parrish because, in his assessment, Parrish was not a violent criminal and was acting innocuously. Finch called the clerk and told her not to draw up arrest documents until he was there to assess the situation. Note, Parrish had not been officially booked into jail- only detained.   Continue reading “Florida Sheriff Arrested, Charged with Felony & Suspended for Protecting Citizens’ 2nd Amendment Rights”

The National Black Republican Association (NBRA) based in Sarasota, FL, headed by Chairman Frances Rice, filed Articles of Impeachment against President Barack Obama with the following language:

We, black American citizens, in order to free ourselves and our fellow citizens from governmental tyranny, do herewith submit these Articles of Impeachment to Congress for the removal of President Barack H. Obama, aka, Barry Soetoro, from office for his attack on liberty and commission of egregious acts of despotism that constitute high crimes and misdemeanors.   Continue reading “Black American citizens file “Articles of Impeachment” against Obama”

PRESERVE PROTECT & DEFEND – by Cameron C Taylor

It’s 2056 and America is on the ropes. The former middle class are now living in tent cities and under bridges. The economy is in ruins and the banksters are demanding payment. The nation has become a near police state and everything is to be feared. Vice President Aaron Banner knows that huge conspiracies are in place and events leading to the public awareness that America has been taken over by the NWO are well under way. Aaron Banner is an oddity inside the Beltway, the fiftieth vice president is a staunch Constitutionalist. While speaking at a commencement ceremony VP Banner is shot multiple times and slips into a coma.   Continue reading “Preserve Protect & Defend”

Residents of Eureka, California are reporting of multiple arrests this evening during the wildly successful “Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment” campaign (a campaign in which literally 10s of people have participated by waving signs on highway overpasses promoting the impeachment of President Obama).

Early reports indicate that protesters were verbally and physically abused prior to being arrested.  All 6 protesters taking part in the rally are currently in police custody.  County and city officials in the area have not yet released a statement on the event or the names of those arrested.  Communications have been difficult and local media outlets are scrambling for more details.   Continue reading “Multiple Arrests Reported In California Town Following “Impeach Obama” Rally”

This according to the keepers of acceptable opinion at two divergent publications.

Both The Economist and the Montgomery Advertiser recently ran opinion pieces skewering nullification, specifically state efforts to block unconstitutional federal gun laws in Kansas and Alabama. Interestingly, both the author of  The Economist piece and the editorial board over at the Alabama newspaper used the same strategy. They both try to make their readers believe anybody who actually views nullification as legitimate must not be too bright. Their implication? “The federal government enjoys absolute supremacy and  a bunch of dumb racist, rednecks who don’t know anything about the U.S. government want states to ignore laws they don’t happen to like.”   Continue reading “A Basic Civics Lesson for Pseudo-Historians”

More than a dozen protesters attended the Patriot Wave rally in Columbia, SC. The rally was organized by Overpasses for Obama's Impeachment, and was part of a nationwide protest attended by thousands of members at hundreds of locations around the country.Examiner – by DARREN POPE

Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment, a grassroots movement founded by James Neighbors of Oklahoma in mid-June, held a nationwide protest Tuesday, which the group called the ‘Patriot Wave’, to raise awareness and force action on the myriad of scandals plaguing the Obama administration.

The Overpasses group began with a single individual, Neighbors, but now boasts more than 30,000 members nationwide. After yesterday’s rallies group organizers expect to see membership grow significantly.   Continue reading “Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment group holds nationwide ‘Patriot Wave’ protest”

Finally … a celebrity who thinks the way we do!

After the all of the glamorous celebrities seriously gazing into the camera “demanding a plan” for gun control, it’s a refreshing change when a 5 time Grammy nominee has no problem letting the world know that he is a personal supporter of the 2nd amendment through his very lifestyle.     Continue reading “Kid Rock: “I will not hesitate to shoot anyone who has myself or family in fear for our lives””

Gun RightsFreedom Outpost – by Tim Brown

I have been writing for Freedom Outpost for nearly a year and then at the former Front Porch Politics for six months before that. There was a commenter who would always come on and say that no one is coming for our guns, and yet, here we are. The evidence abounds that gun confiscation is the goal and is currently taking place. We first saw it in New York under the NY SAFE Act and then in California. Now we’re seeing it in Cook County, Illinois, former home to Barack Obama. This is why American patriots have warned against gun registration, because it inevitably leads to gun confiscation.   Continue reading “Illinois’ Cook County Begins Gun Confiscation”

A Lutheran pastor from Madison suffered cardiac symptoms while in police custody on Friday, July 26, after being arrested in the Wisconsin Capitol during what Capitol Police deemed an “unlawful assembly” of the Solidarity Sing Along.

As the Rev. Carter Dary, 67, was being taken to the basement of the Capitol for processing, he began experiencing chest pain. Capitol Police placed a nitroglycerin capsule from Dary’s keychain in his hand without removing his handcuffs. (His hands were cuffed in front of him instead of behind him after he told officers he was having chest pain.)  Patrick Knowles, who was also arrested, was with Dary at the time and said later, “I was told by someone released after me that they had to try three times to get his blood pressure. It is not known to me what his current condition is, but would characterize it by what I saw as grave. My prayers are with him.”  Knowles provided this eyewitness account:   Continue reading “Exercising Rights in Capitol May Be Harmful to Your Health”

“The right of the people, peaceably to assemble, to consult for the common good, and to petition their government, or any department thereof, shall never be abridged.”

– Wisconsin State Constitution, Article 1, Section 4

emember that part in the Bill of Rights where Free Speech and Free Assembly are guaranteed provided the citizen requesting those freedoms does so upon the approval of his or her permit request? I don’t remember that last part, either. Because if you have to ask your government for permission to protest it, then you never had the right to protest your government in the first place.   Continue reading “Scott Walker’s Crackdown on Free Speech Backfires”

Pfc. Bradley Manning, the former Army intelligence officer who was branded as both a whistle-blower and a traitor after he sent 700,000 secret government documents to WikiLeaks, was acquitted Tuesday of aiding the enemy but convicted of most other charges.

Manning was convicted of 20 of the remaining 21 counts, including leaking intelligence knowing it would be accessible to the enemy, releasing classified information and disobeying orders.   Continue reading “Manning acquitted of aiding enemy but convicted on other charges”

In a real world in which you and I must live
fairy tales are dangerous
dangerous because they are untrue
anything which is untrue is dangerous
and it is all the more dangerous when the fairy tale is accepted as reality
simply because it has an official seal of approval
or because ‘honorable’ men announce you must believe it
or because powerful elements of the press tell you the fairy tale is true
