Owensboro, KY — Time and again, as the Free Thought Project has consistently reported, police officers will enter the home of an innocent person and kill them. As is the case most of the time, the officers aren’t charged despite gross negligence leading up to the innocent homeowner’s death. Or, if the homeowner does successfully defend themselves, they are often charged. In rare instances, however, homeowners defend themselves against the officers who come onto their property with no warrant or mistakenly and they are deemed justified in doing so. Every Belarusian citizen, except children, will be given a gun if the country is attacked by an enemy, President Aleksandr Lukashenko said. He also lamented the volume of illegal arms coming to the country from Ukraine.
“I wasn’t joking when I said that if we’ll have enough firearms – assault rifles, pistols, machine guns and ammo and if, God forbid, there’s war we’ll hand it to every family,” Lukashenko said as cited by STV broadcaster adding that this would amount to seven million people receiving arms. Police identified the man who opened fire on officers in Florence, South Carolina, Wednesday as 74-year-old Fred Hopkins, a Vietnam veteran and former attorney.
Breitbart News reported that one officer was killed and six others injured when Hopkins opened fire. ABC 7 identified the deceased officer as 52-year-old Terrence Carraway, a 30-year veteran of the Florence Police Department. Levi Strauss is launching a million dollar gun control campaign which includes partnering with Michael Bloomberg-funded Everytown for Gun Safety to represent pro-gun control business leaders.
Levi Strauss president and CEO Chip Bergh announced the gun control initiative via a Fortune column, in which he assured readers he is not trying “to repeal the Second Amendment.” Rather, he wants to join efforts to pressure Congress into outlawing private gun sales, i.e., sales between a neighbor and a neighbor, a father and a son, a lifelong friend and a lifelong friend, etc. In other words, Bergh wants to outlaw the very kind of gun sales Americans have enjoyed since 1791, when the Second Amendment was ratified. Arizona -(Ammoland.com)- – In Oregon, a young woman has won a civil rights case against Walmart. A Walmart in Helena, Oregon refused to sell a rifle to young woman because she was not 21 years old. She sued Walmart and won under the Oregon Civil Rights law on age discrimination. From wweek.com:

TARBORO, N.C. (WTVD) — Parents of a fifth grader are concerned after their child was punished for referring to his teacher as “ma’am.”
Teretha Wilson said she noticed something was wrong Tuesday when her 10-year old son Tamarion got off the school bus from North East Carolina Preparatory School.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The 24-year-old man accused of opening fire Sunday afternoon at a “Madden NFL 19” regional tournament at the Jacksonville Landing, killing two and shooting 10 others, clearly targeted fellow gamers, Sheriff Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams announced Monday.

The illegal alien accused of murdering 20-year-old college student Mollie Tibbetts and leaving her body in an Iowa cornfield has a U.S.-born child.

A type of blue clay found only in the ground in the US state of Oregon could be used to fight antibiotic resistant bacteria.
Scientists say the unusual soil can kill bacteria which are difficult to destroy using drugs, and could help fight infections in humans.

China has threatened a boycott of a popular Taiwanese bakery after Taiwan’s president visited a store in California last Sunday during a short stopover trip in the United States.
The chain of bakeries, known as 85C, hosted Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen at one of its stores in Los Angeles, where she was photographed buying a drink, signing a toy loaf of bread, and receiving a gift bag from the staff. The visit was part of her stopover trip in the U.S. before departing on diplomatic trips to Paraguay and Belize. The Russian embassy in the US has accused American authorities of subjecting jailed Russian gun activist and ‘agent’ Maria Butina to cruel and inhumane treatment, including unwarranted strip searches.
Butina was arrested and detained in Washington DC in July on espionage charges. The 29-year old is accused of acting as an agent of the Russian government without informing the US attorney general. Since her arrest, representatives of the Russian embassy have checked in on Butina, most recently visiting her on Thursday. A viral video showing New Mexico State Police smashing a car window and pulling a man from the vehicle sparked outrage online. Officers have responded by releasing their own video of the incident.
Phillip Page and passenger Angela Fisher-Herrera were pulled over in Taso County in February for not wearing a seatbelt, the Albuquerque Journal reports. Page shared a video of the incident on Facebook last week, which shows an officer breaking his car window and pulling Page from the car.
