lake texoma vortexBusiness Insider – by Tanya Lewis

Like something straight out of “The Twilight Zone”, a swirling vortex has opened up in a giant lake on the border of Oklahoma and Texas.

The gaping hole — which appeared recently in Lake Texoma — alarmed everyone from Twitter users to the Tulsa District US Army Corps of Engineers, who posted a YouTube video of the vortex. Below the video, they describe the hole as being “8 feet in diameter and capable of sucking in a full-sized boat.”   Continue reading “There’s a giant hole that’s draining a lake on the border of Oklahoma and Texas like it’s a bathtub”

Recent U.S. Supreme Court precedent does not help a drunken-driving suspect whose blood police tested without a warrant after a car crash, a New Jersey appeals court ruled.

In that 5-3 majority opinion, Justice Sonia Sotomayor said bodily metabolization of alcohol does not represent an exigent circumstance that justifies drawing a suspected drunken driver’s blood without a warrant.    Continue reading “Supreme Court says police don’t need a warrant to take the blood of alleged DWI drivers”

Confederate Flag Controversy: Will Obama Resign Because His Family Owned Slaves?Infowars – by Kit Daniels

If liberals want to ban the Confederate flag due to its historical link to slavery, shouldn’t they also demand President Obama’s resignation because his family owned slaves?

Obama’s great-great-great-great grandfather, George Washington Overall, owned two slaves who were recorded in the 1850 census in Nelson County, Ky., the Baltimore Sun reported in 2007, and Obama’s great-great-great-great-great-grandmother, Mary Duvall, also owned slaves.   Continue reading “Will Obama Resign Because His Family Owned Slaves?”

Despite a recent report indicating that the vast majority of the Central American families who illegally entered the U.S. last year seeking asylum failed to appear in court, the Obama administration says it is further reducing family detention.

“I have reached the conclusion that we must make substantial changes in our detention practices with respect to families with children,” Department of Homeland Security Sec. Jeh Johnson said Wednesday. “In short, once a family has established eligibility for asylum or other relief under our laws, long-term detention is an inefficient use of our resources and should be discontinued.”   Continue reading “DHS To Release More Illegal Immigrant Families, Even As 84 Percent Fail To Appear In Court”

On the order of Gov. Robert Bentley, the Confederate battle flag which stands at the foot of the confederate memorial on the state Capitol grounds was taken down this morning.

Two workers came out of the Capitol building about 8:20 a.m. and with no fanfare quickly and quietly took the flag down. They declined to answer questions.   Continue reading “Alabama Gov. Bentley removes Confederate flags from Capitol grounds”

Zero Hedge – by Tyler Durden

As the Confederate Flag hysteria escalates, CNN’s Ashleigh Banfield asks fellow CNN mouthpiece Don Lemon if it’s now appropriate for lawmakers to start a future conversation about whether or not the monument of Thomas Jefferson should be removed from the U.S. Capitol.   Continue reading “CNN Goes There: Asks If Thomas Jefferson Memorials Should Be Removed Because He Owned Slaves?”

With a 60-38 vote, the Senate adopted the law giving President Obama the power to “fast-track” talks on free-trade pacts such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) after months of fierce debate in both houses of the Congress.

Trade Promotion Authority (TPA), as the measure is called, means that Congress will only get to vote up or down on the treaties in question once they are finalized by the White House, without the ability to offer amendments.   Continue reading “Senate puts Obama on fast-track to TPP”

Las Vegas Review Journal – Editorial, March 18, 2015

The more a government seeks refuge in secrecy, the less credibility it has with the people it serves. The longer a government refuses to answer basic questions about public business, the more suspicious taxpayers become.

We first published those exact words last year, when the U.S. Bureau of Land Management refused to answer important questions about the April 2014 blowup at the Bundy ranch in Bunkerville. The BLM, in attempting to end a decades-long grazing dispute with rancher Cliven Bundy, dispatched an armed force and air support across northern Clark County to round up his cattle. The overdone, militarized response to a civil dispute rallied Mr. Bundy’s rangeland allies and anti-government types, creating a confrontation that was a single trigger pull from becoming a bloodbath. The BLM pulled back, and the public demanded answers.   Continue reading “BLM hiding records on Bundy ranch standoff”

As soon as we posted our reaction to the false flag operation in South Carolina, Facebook disabled our ability to post to our Facebook page.

This shows three things:

1. They’re watching
2. They didn’t like what we had to say
3. They have the ability to turn on “technical difficulties” with the flip of the switch.

What did we say that offended major Democratic fund raiser Sheryl Sandberg (the political COO of Facebook whose husband died under highly mysterious circumstances a few weeks ago)?    Continue reading “Facebook blocks our ability to post to our Facebook page Right after we called BS on the South Caroline False Flag”

With the support of local authorities, federal law enforcement officials said on Thursday they would investigate the June 17 shooting in Charleston, South Carolina — in which a white gunman killed nine people at an historic black church — as a hate crime.

“In this case, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that it is a hate crime,” said Charleston Police Chief Greg Mullen.   Continue reading “Repeated attempts to pass hate crime bill in South Carolina have failed”

An arson attack on Thursday gutted part of a church at the traditional site of what Christianity reveres as Jesus’s miracle of the feeding of the 5,000 on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, the Israeli fire brigade said.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered Israel’s Shin Bet internal security service to launch a top-priority investigation, an official statement said, quoting him as describing the incident as “an attack on all of us”.   Continue reading “Arson attack guts part of Israel’s Church of Loaves and Fishes”

A police officer in Barstow California who was caught on video attacking a pregnant black woman has now reportedly begun stalking the victim, driving by her house and waving at the woman when she is on her front porch with her kids.

In the original incident, Charlena Michelle Cooks had dropped her daughter off at school when police approached her and demanded her ID. Since she had committed no crime and there was no probable cause, Cooks knew she was not required to show ID and refused, at which time the officer launched his viscious assault, which went viral as soon as the video was released. (The video is below.)   Continue reading “Creepy Cop Who Attacked Pregnant Black Woman on Viral Video Now Stalking The Woman At Her Home”

Bam! That’s the sound of President Obama smacking head first into our nation’s system of checks and balances. It turns out that you actually can’t run the country all by yourself, even if you’re the smartest fellow in the room. That’s proving quite a shock to our legacy-hungry commander in chief, who is responding to various setbacks with increasing indignation and hauteur. But, never, ever, moderation.   Continue reading “Obama’s Unilateral Presidency Crashes Into the Constitution”

Former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn, once thought of as a future French president before he was engulfed in s.x scandals, was acquitted of pimping charges Friday in a Lille court.

Strauss-Kahn had faced a potential 10-year prison sentence in France if convicted of the charge of “aggravated pimping.” His conviction had looked unlikely in recent months, after the prosecutor recommended acquittal and five of the six accusers dropped their claims.   Continue reading “Dominique Strauss-Kahn: Not guilty”

Tech Dirt – by Mike Masnick

Last year we wrote about a very dangerous case going to the European Court of Human Rights: Delfi AS v. Estonia, which threatened free expression across Europe. Today, the ruling came out and it’s a disaster. In short, websites can be declared liable for things people post in comments. As we explained last year, the details of the case were absolutely crazy. The court had found that even if a website took down comments after people complained, it could still be held liable because it should have anticipated bad comments in the first place. Seriously. In this case, the website had published what everyone agrees was a “balanced” article about “a matter of public interest” but that the website publisher should have known that people would post nasty comments, and therefore, even though it automated a system to remove comments that people complained about, it was still liable for the complaints.    Continue reading “Huge Loss For Free Speech In Europe: Human Rights Court Says Sites Liable For User Comments”
