Barbaric Video of Prison Guard Beating Man With a Hammer Finally Released

Because officers, prison guards, and people committing violence for the government never face the consequences of their crime, the violent offender, the guard in this video (who hasn’t even been identified because he is protected by the other criminals), was never prosecuted, and never faced any consequences at all. The man was handcuffed, and completely defenseless. He could have been murdered, it was that bad. Originally, it was denied that this even happened, but now we know the truth. Perhaps in part because It’s taken two years and almost eight months for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to release this video. The assault occurred on New Year’s Eve, right before midnight, on Dec. 31, 2010. A very persistent family member of one of the victims finally persuaded them to give the video to her. A determined advocate for justice for prisoners, Rev. Kenneth Glasgow, posted it to YouTube.

The family member who retrieved the video says-

“The family is demanding justice for this barbaric, inhumane act. We ask everyone to help by contacting District Attorney Tom Durden at (912) 876-4151.”

The prison official who beat this man hasn’t even been identified, because no District Attorney or anyone will prosecute him, and his co-workers won’t give away his identity. “Within the entire GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigation) file,” says Rev. Glasgow, “no GBI investigative agent or prison official identifies the guard on the video who is clearly beating non-resisting Miguel Jackson and Kelvin Stevenson with the hammer-like object.

“If you look closely, you will see a very large man lying on top of Kelvin Stevenson as the other guard batters his head with the hammer. Eye witnesses state that Stevenson was also handcuffed at the time.

“For all those who watch this and ask what’s the whole story, first of all ask yourself why no GBI agent or prison official reported this – at least not in the ‘official report’ – when this is their video.

“The family and advocates want justice and humane treatment, the situation investigated, and the officer in that video arrested.
“The family is demanding justice for this barbaric, inhumane act. We ask everyone to help by contacting District Attorney Tom Durden at (912) 876-4151.”

“This is how your loved ones are being treated in Georgia state prisons,” Rev. Glasgow says.

Please share this article or video with someone who doesn’t know that this is the true experience of prisoners of this police state, that has more people incarcerated than any country in the world.

  1. If you think for one second this sort of thing will not be brought back onto these individuals 100 fold you underestimate where some of us are willing to go when the time comes. Maybe it was all those video games I played as a kid(Atari 2600, blame video games) or what I learned about the body both from biology, physiology and time in service. Or might it just be if you get kicked enough times you decided to kick things up 100 notches in defense. It is going make the Spanish inquisition look like a baptism.

There is a quote I very much enjoy hope you do as well.

  2. The only fair thing to do is find this prison screw guilty and lock him up with the very same inmates where this happened, and I mean with the general population. What goes around comes around and these pigs like this needs to have to live with the very same ones that he abused. Enough is enough.

    1. I agree Digger, the person they beat with the hammer was probably in there for less of a charge, than what these guardthugs did to him. Karma is a Beotch and it’s waiting just around the corner for them!
