Rense – by Jim Kirwan

Obama announced that he was going to create an American Armed Force that would be even larger than America’s current standing military force. He claimed at the time that America would need this force to combat the threats inside this nation from what he called at the time: “The Enemy Within.”

He did this at the same time he was demanding that the NDAA apply to all Americans anywhere in the world today (It passed the senate 97-0): That did finally succeed which meant that he can now kill anyone without a trial, evidence or even without any reason whatsoever. Now, because of his private army, he’s free to murder anyone he wants to kill as an “Enemy of the United States” and there is nothing that anyone can do about it unless we revolt!   Continue reading “Obamanation’s Private Army”

NYPD told to carry spray paint to cover graffitiNew York Post – by Jamie Schram and Natalie O’Neill

The only thing missing are the smocks.

The NYPD is arming its cops with cans of spray paint and giving them art-class-style lessons to tackle the scourge of urban graffiti, The Post has learned.

Shootings are on the rise across the city, but the directive from Police Headquarters is to hunt down street art and cover it with black, red and white spray paint, sources said.   Continue reading “NYPD told to carry spray paint to cover graffiti”

Freedom Outpost – by David Risselada

During the Revolutionary War against the British, it is said that only three percent of the population were involved in trying to win the nation’s freedom.  That number reflects the percentage of patriots that actually volunteered to fight. There were many others, of course, that supported the cause, and contributed in other ways, but sadly, there was a huge percentage of Colonial Americans that sat on the sidelines with no opinion on the matter. There were even those who wished to remain loyal to the British Crown. While that may be difficult for some to fathom, it is true, and in some ways we find ourselves in an eerily similar situation today.   Continue reading “The Tiny Three Percent that Remains Vigilant in the Face of Tyranny”

The Orange County Register reports that the only facility in the county licensed to care for marine mammals is now at capacity, and that other facilities all along the coastline are being similarly inundated.   Continue reading “Marine mammals mysteriously dying in record numbers along West Coast”

Elon MuskExaminer – by Mark Whittington

A Thursday story in the International Business Times suggeststhat the main beneficiary of the Russian rocket engine embargo against the United States may be Elon Musk’s SpaceX. SpaceX, an entrepreneurial space launch company has been keen to penetrate that defense space satellite market for quite some time. The company is already a major NASA contractor with its Dragon cargo ship and has launched a number of commercial satellites.

As the Washington Post notes, SpaceX is conducting a law suit with the federal government over a contract for 36 military launches that has been granted to United Launch Alliance, the company’s main competitor. SpaceX is involved with a lengthy certification process with the Department of Defense that would allow it to compete for military contracts. It would like the military to cancel the ULA contract and put it out to competitive bid once SpaceX gets the certification.   Continue reading “Russian rocket engine embargo could benefit Elon Musk’s SpaceX”

In 13 short years, killer drones have gone from being exotic military technology featured primarily in the pages of specialized aviation magazines to a phenomenon of popular culture, splashed across daily newspapers and fictionalized in film and television, including the new season of “24.”

What has not changed all that much — at least superficially — is the basic aircraft that most people associate with drone warfare: the armed Predator.   Continue reading “The ultra-lethal drones of the future”

Why Liberty DiesMilitia News – by Dr. Robert R. Owens

To understand why liberty is imperiled in our country today we must first state clearly and unequivocally what is liberty. Then and only then can we understand what is necessary for its preservation as well as see what is undermining it today. Liberty is the absence of coercion and the freedom to act upon your own will within the perimeters of not infringing the freedom of action of others. The only way that has been found among the societies of man to ensure, promote and protect liberty is through the rule of law.   Continue reading “Why Liberty Dies”

No ID needed. If you want marijuana, you can meander over to a cannabis-dispensing vending machine in Vancouver, Canada, the first of its kind installed at the headquarters of the BC Pain Society.

On Tuesday, around 30 citizens attended a meeting of the Clark County, IL Park District Board. Most wished to address the board over several recent controversies and allegations of corruption. In the face of this, the board said a public comment period wasn’t on the agenda and quickly moved to adjourn the meeting. Citizen John Kraft then informed the board that he was making a citizens’ arrest of the members as provided under Illinois state law.

Illinois law requires public bodies to allow citizens the right to make comments, whether or not the public comments are “on the agenda”. The relevant statute:   Continue reading “Citizens Arrest Park District Board For Refusing Public Comment”

Activist Post – by Jeff Berwick

It doesn’t happen often, but The New York Times (NYT)has truthfully reported on something recently.

On what did it report? Well, on itself, and how alarmed it is due to its own increasing irrelevance in the face of new sources of information.

NYT is well-aware of the “New Media,” as a 96-page internal report, sent to top executives last month, makes clear. Obtained by Buzzfeed, the report “paints a dark picture of a newsroom struggling more dramatically than is immediately visible to adjust to the digital world, a newsroom that is hampered primarily by its own storied culture.”

organic farming ban fdaOff the Grid News – by Michael Foust

Farming methods that have been used in America and throughout the world for centuries are in danger of essentially being banned under proposed regulations by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Small and large organic farms alike that sell produce would be impacted by the proposed new rules, which would place burdensome restrictions on everything from compost to livestock to water – so much so that many organic farmers will be forced out of business, said Judith McGeary, executive director of the Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance, a national organization that supports independent family farmers.  Continue reading “FDA To Ban Organic Farming?”

There are some people still alive today who were present at the last public execution in France. Actor Christopher Lee, for instance. In the early morning of 17 June 1939, Eugène Weidmann bowed down before the blade of the guillotine, the last person to do so publicly.

Weidmann was the last person to be executed before a crowd in France. He had been convicted of multiple kidnappings and murders, including that of a young American socialite. His trial was a sensation in that tense summer of 1939; the Frankfurt-born Weidmann was quickly dubbed “Teutonic Vampire” by the tabloids. His execution outside the prison Saint-Pierre in Versailles was a noisy affair.   Continue reading “Last Public Execution by Guillotine”

Portugal exited its international bailout program on Saturday, regaining its economic sovereignty, which it lost after the European debt crisis. However, the country’s GDP is four percent lower than in 2010, a year before it asked for financial help.

The country will become the second eurozone country to leave the bailout after Ireland. Portugal underwent three years of painful austerity, in order to receive a 78-billion euro loan (106 billion US dollars), to help a nation that was on the verge of bankruptcy.   Continue reading “Portugal leaves bailout program with 214bn euro debt, 4% lower GDP”
