A squeezed global aluminum supply chain has sent the price of the metal’s critical ingredient, alumina, to the brink of a new record high on Wednseday of $707.59 a ton, nearly eclipsing the 2018 high of $707.75.
Since the mid-point of the year, supply chain snarls and production disruptions in major alumina-exporting countries have sparked shortages. The New Civil Liberties Alliance (NCLA) is pushing forward in Missouri v. Biden, aiming to uncover the depth of government-led censorship on social media. Using surprisingly blunt words which are clearly a warning and a threat, the United States envoy to the UN, Robert Wood, has said that North Korean forces entering Ukraine “will surely return in body bags.”
Wood issued the words while speaking before the UN security council on Wednesday. He said that if Pyongyang’s forces “enter Ukraine in support of Russia, they will surely return in body bags.” He then warned, “I would advise Chairman Kim [Jong-un] to think twice about engaging in such reckless and dangerous behavior.”

This is like that — except that, in this slightly more dystopian version, one of the lovers is an ephemeral machine in the cloud based on a fictional fantasy character and the other is an obviously developmentally stunted child.
