CHATSWORTH, Georgia (WTVC) – Defense attorneys for an 87-year-old Syrian refugee have released police bodycam video of an incident that made national headlines last August.

Chatsworth Police arrested Martha Al-Bishara after officers said she would not drop a knife that she was holding. Officers eventually used a stun gun on Al-Bishara, who did not speak English and was unable to understand the officer’s commands. On Thursday, a contractor for the US Environmental Protection Agency started an operation to remove barrels containing defoliants from Wallowa Lake in Oregon.

Last August, recreational divers Lisa Anderson and William Lambert came across barrels labeled as containing 2,4-D and 2,4,5-T, which are defoliants, chemicals that when sprayed on plants cause their leaves to fall off. Authorities say one person is behind bars and three suspects are still being sought after a long pursuit in southern South Dakota.

The pursuit began Sunday night on Highway 50 near Tyndall.
