Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, the Pentagon ordered most of its approximately 400,000 furloughed civilian employees back to work. The decision by Hagel is based on a Pentagon legal interpretation of a law called the Pay Our Military Act. That measure was passed by Congress and signed by President Barack Obama shortly before the partial government shutdown began Tuesday, Oct. 1. WASHINGTON (AP) — The Pentagon is bringing back to work at least 90 percent of the estimated 350,000 defense civilian employees who were furloughed in the partial government shutdown. The move takes a big bite out of the impact of the political impasse in Washington that has left the government without a budget.

The decision announced Saturday by Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is based on a Pentagon interpretation of a law called the Pay Our Military Act. That measure was passed by Congress and signed by President Barack Obama shortly before the partial government shutdown began Tuesday.   Continue reading “Pentagon: Most furloughed civilians ordered back”

The Grand Canyon is closed.

Not really, but the federal government has cut off access to this grand work of nature.

It’s part of a pressure campaign to convince the American people that it really can’t do without a bloated federal government.

Unfortunately for President Obama’s propaganda efforts, with 83% of federal employees still reporting for work, and Social Security, Medicare and food stamp transfers still being made, most Americans aren’t missing Big Government.   Continue reading “Obama Closes Grand Canyon, Proves His Administration Doesn’t Care About the Little Guy”

How can anyone think these people should be running the country?

Not only is the Obama Administration barricading the World War II Memorial to keep 85-90 year old Veterans out, they are putting cones up on public highways to keep people from taking pictures of Mt. Rushmore during the Government Shutdown! So, blocking scenic viewing areas along a highway is necessary because of a Government Shutdown? If your goal is spite it is. Exactly what you expect a bunch of Chicago thugs to do.   Continue reading “Report: Unbelievable! Obama Admin Blocks Off Highway Viewing Areas to Prevent Photos of Mt. Rushmore – 10/5/13”

NAIROBI, Kenya — A Navy SEAL team targeted a senior leader of the Shabab militant group in a raid on his seaside villa in the Somali town of Baraawe on Saturday, American officials said, in response to a deadly attack on a Nairobi shopping mall for which the group had claimed responsibility.

The SEAL team stealthily approached the beachfront house by sea before exchanging gunfire with militants in a predawn firefight that was the most significant raid by American troops on Somali soil since commandos killed Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan, a Qaeda mastermind, near the same town four years ago.   Continue reading “U.S. Says Navy SEAL Team Stages Raid on Somali Militants”

Four years ago when this picture was taken of my son and myself, I still held out hope that the alternative media could rescue this country from the tyrants that have hijacked our government. I had this picture made into a poster where it is now displayed just outside my office where I write and broadcast. The picture formerly symbolized the hope that I held out for the next generation. Today, this picture represents what has been lost and what may never be recovered. It also serves as a reminder of my parental responsibility to adequately prepare my son for what lies ahead as he prepares to become a citizen in the New World Order. WASHINGTON (AP) — A rare flash of bipartisanship Saturday served as a cruel tease to those hoping Congress is moving toward reopening the government and averting an unprecedented default on the federal debt in less than two weeks.

Only two days after House Speaker John Boehner raised hopes by telling colleagues he won’t let the nation go into default, key members of both parties conceded that no one has presented a plausible plan for avoiding it. Instead, they continued to bicker and to ponder the chasm between two warring parties, each of which seems convinced it’s on the winning side morally and politically.   Continue reading “Bipartisan vote on back pay belies shutdown chasm”
